We are located on magnificent Railay Beach offering a variety of privately owned beach homes and rooms with incredible views of the sea and immersed in natural surroundings. Railay's famous limestone cliffs flank our white sandy beach and swimming areas. Each home shares traditional Thai design elements but varies in size and layout, perfect for solo travelers or a gathering of friends and families. Our open-air bar has a friendly vibe and fun menu with signature cocktails. A favorite gathering place for breathtaking sunsets each evening. Rock climbing, kayaking, swimming, snorkeling and hiking are among the activities. Do as much or as little as you like. For an unforgettable experience, we can arrange a private Thai chef to prepare authentic Thai dinner in your rental. Thai breakfast baskets can be ordered for delivery each morning. Food shopping and laundry services are also available. As we are only accessible by boat, we highly recommend our transfer service for first-time visitors. We are less than an hour from Krabi Airport. 2.5 hours travel time from Phuket. Please come enjoy, relax and experience our natural beauty and wildlife. You won't find anyplace else like this.

Detailed Reviews
We spent a delightful 4 days at the RBC, capping off a 4 week cruise from Capetown to Bangkok and 10 days in Thailand. The airport pickup in Krabi was seamless and a wonderful start to our arrival via tuk tuk, longtail boat and motorcycle transport to our cottage on the beach. Pat and Miguel greeted us and gave us a warm welcome to RBC. The facilities are comfortable, spotless and set back on an idyllic beach, surrounded by tall karst formations and curious monkeys. The beach is covered with powdery sand, the happy hours are perfect each night watching perfectly gorgeous sunsets.
We hated to leave and can’t wait to go back.

Many describe the Railei Beach Club as a gorgeous boutique hideaway and Railei (or Railey) Beach as one of the Top 5 or 10 most beautiful beachEs in the world due to its Absolutely Incredible white sand + green waters + cliffs + jungle life + cool bars + little restaurants + sunset (it has all !)
But many also used to mention the boat noise was somehow disturbing...
« Used » and « was » because the authorities have just (this August 2020) banned the boats from Railei Beach.
This also happened for the nearby fantastic Pranang Beach (10 mn walk or a 20 mn great swim).
All boats will now land on the East side of The Railei Peninsula.
All you will have to do is take a 10 mn walk to one of the abovementioned beaches and relax.
No more boat noise during the day and at night.
Pick your private villa at Railei Beach Club and enjoy the greatest beach and jungle life.

Our favorite during our road trip in Thailand!
We went there for 3 nights with 5 adults in low season (August), and were lucky to have exceptional weather (only heavy rain for 30 minutes one evening).
We rented house number 12 (upper floor). She is truly magnificent (even better than in the photo). The 3 bedrooms are very beautiful, perfectly equipped (there is even a piano in the master bedroom), storage possibilities and each has its own bathroom (one is not adjoining but right next door). The living room is very pleasant as is the magnificent terrace which gives a daily show of squirrels and monkeys (langurs). The park is superb (lizards, monitor lizards, monkeys), between sea and mountains, it's just sublime. The houses are spaced apart, and in low season it was far from full. The house is very well decorated and equipped with everything necessary for a very comfortable stay.
The sunset bar was unfortunately closed (low season?), but the walking street offers a very wide choice of places to eat and drink afterwards. Our villa had a problem with hot water and air conditioning, but we had been warned before and the fans did the trick.
Villa 12 is in the 2nd row, between the sea and the cliffs, a little close to the staff room, but it remains very quiet. You should remember to take mosquito repellent, possibly a flashlight at night, not for the park which remains lit by terminals but more for the beach to reach the walking street.
There is something to do shopping in mini markets in Railay, we also used the home chef service (unfortunately who was not able to cook on site because there was no gas in our villa), it was very very good (and very very hearty!). We also took advantage of the massage service directly in the Villa, very nice.
In terms of noise, we mainly heard the sound of nature which is just incredible (birds, monkeys, etc...). Of course, we sometimes hear a little of the Long Tails, but we are in Thailand, it is the local means of transport, we have to accept it (and remember how we got to Railay...). On the other hand, no cars in Railay, and almost no two wheels, it's very pleasant.
Thanks to Sun for his welcome (and his excellent English and his appreciated efforts in French) and his professionalism.
Neither quite a rental house, nor quite a hotel, the RBC is a unique place that we have already recommended to our loved ones (one will be there this weekend and we envy him a lot!).
There is currently some work in some houses, it is indicated on the site. Cleaning is done daily (slightly random times and whether you are present or not).
For us, it was a wonderful family moment during our road trip in Thailand, taking your "open" shower with monkeys looking at you, being 50m from one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand, and the relaxed side of Railay in low season, we can't wait to go back!
Thank you for this beautiful place that we would like to keep secret, but it's difficult not to share such a favorite.

We recently spent two evenings at the Railei Beach Club and loved it!
The arrival experience at sunset was stunning, followed by a warm welcome by the team at Reception and the Sunset Bar.
Our was was superbly appointed, comfortable and well designed.
The entire setting is one of nature, quiet and leisure time. We took in a hike to the lagoon, walks along the amazing beach and enjoyed time at the new walking street.
The property has an amazing history that is well told in the room literature and it is clear that the founders of this development were united in the goal of preserving the natural surroundings.
We met many others who were here from other parts of Thailand due to travel restrictions. I heard several of them mention that the reputation of RBC was the driving force in their decision to travel here.
It is clear that the owners of the homes here truly care about the RBC, as several were on hand and acted as hosts in a genuine, caring way.
From Khun Mee & Pat who handled our reservations and check in to the team at the Sunset bar and Housekeeping, these guys were clearly dedicated to ensuring guests felt "At Home", and one really does.
Hats off to many of the team who have learned new skills during the Covid situation, one in particular was Khun Lip - Gardner by day and mixologist by night - remarkable how such a horrible pandemic has touched so many, and yet Lip and others at the resort are also developing new ways to work, learn new skills and excel at doing them!
We enjoyed the nature; saw hornbills, monkeys and the jungle sounds including gibbons in the morning.
I would recommend this as a must do while enjoying Southern Thailand!

I almost don't want to tell people about this place so it doesn't get too crowded! What a great spot. We booked one of the cheapest cottages so it was right next to the Walking Street and all the late-night music, but it wasn't bad. With the ceiling fan and floor fan going, it really didn't bother us. The Club is just beautiful and the staff was wonderful. We really enjoyed cocktails at the club bar each evening when the sun went down. It was also nice to have a shady, private area to lounge at the edge of the beach when we were ready to get out of the sun and/or away from the crowds. We added on the daily breakfast delivered to our room and were very glad we did. It was delicious and provided a great start to the day. If I had to think of a negative, it is only that the long-tailed boats are incredibly loud and run all day. That is, of course, no fault of the Beach Club! If we are ever back in Railay we will most definitely stay at the Beach Club again.

We appreciate you taking the time to share this review. Since all our homes are privately owned, we are fortunate we can offer a variety of 1-4 bedroom accommodations with some basic to more luxurious amenities, but all with the same services and dedicated staff. We also enjoy when members and guest alike gather at our Sunset Bar each evening taking in the amazing view with either quiet contemplation or conversation. Cheers to your return. We hope to see you soon when travel for all resumes.

I stayed at the beach club already 4 times and I have to say: it’s one of the best places in the world to be!
In general i try not to visit one place more than once, as the world is full of great places, but this one is special: I just feel, I have to come back again and again to this magical place with this wonderful surrounding...
The beach club itself make you feel you have a beautiful privacy and you are almost alone on the morning walk at the beach. And you are able to see wildlife...
The touristic part around gives you the opportunity to do almost anything you could wish for, including climbing, hiking, swimming, diving, great restaurants, massages (also great massage people in the beach club!)
Last time we were there with our little daughter, we loved it all!
I can’t wait to come again!!!

Where do I start?! This place is located right ON Railay Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. The houses are all unique and of different sizes and locations. We stayed in 20A with my elderly parents and two small children. It felt so private and serene - just us and the jungle! Our house was located towards the back of the property, with towering cliffs and gorgeous trees all around. The beach was a short 5 minute walk away and we loved being close to the back gate of the property to pop out to the walking street for dinner or to book our next day's adventure. We also liked this house as it is lower to the ground which came in handy as both of our children fell off the walkways at different times (both times from trying to get a better look at the monkeys!)
We cherished our evenings at the Sunset Bar, watching gorgeous sunsets and getting to chat with different people each night. We're still missing the margaritas (they have a spicy version that is a must try).
Our children are 2 and 5 and I thought we would miss having a pool or kids club but we didn't miss it a bit! They were so happy to play in the sand and swim in the beautiful water. Every. Day.
The kindness of both the staff and home owners blew us away as we had to extend our stay when one of our family members tested positive just before we were getting ready to leave. We couldn't have been stuck in a better spot. The staff knew the protocols to keep everyone safe and helped us navigate the hospital system and requirements. What could have been a horrible experience was made so much easier because of the staff at RBC.
Railei Beach Club is truly a special place and I can see why people return again and again. We can't wait to come back soon!

Thank you for this thoughtful review. We take pride in our Sunset Bar. Aside from the amazing sunset view and cocktails, it is our community gathering place where travelers and members mingle with ease. One can easily find a new friend or slip into a sunset trance. Prikarita is the name of the Thai style margarita you mention. 'Prik' being Thai for the spicy chili. It's one of the house favorites. We will be sure to share this review with our staff. They are the heart of our hospitality... and the langur monkeys too! We are so grateful for this feedback and we look forward to the return of your family as well!

Our stay at Railei Beach Club was a complete nightmare, marred by incompetence and shocking disregard for guest welfare.
The hotel is only accessible by boat (which was not obviously communicated to us during our last minute booking). On the night of arrival, the staff irresponsibly advised us to proceed with the boat journey amidst a severe thunderstorm, assuring us that merely wearing life jackets would suffice for our safety. This suggestion was not just irresponsible, but downright dangerous. When I finally sent a video showing the heavy rain, thunder, and lightning, and communicated my decision to seek other accommodation, there was zero acknowledgment of the additional costs we incurred, nor any offer of compensation.
When mentioning it to the receptionist and subsequently the manager upon departure, we were rudely informed that no compromise could be reached due to the hotel's cancellation policy. The inclusion of routine adverse weather conditions under a Force Majeure clause, equating them with rare events like terrorism, is both irrational and misleading. Such weather should be expected in a coastal area, and a resort reliant on boat travel should have better plans and communication for these common occurrences, not just use a clause meant for truly unforeseeable events.
The customer service we were met with was both incompetent and rude. The manager’s behavior upon departure was aggressively confrontational, showing a total lack of respect and professionalism. My follow-up email about a possible refund or any form of resolution has been blatantly ignored. Learning that the receptionist, who tried to help us, was reprimanded after the interaction is absolutely infuriating and speaks volumes about their toxic management.
To top it off, we encountered five power shut downs during our stay of just four days.
Railei Beach Club's complete disregard for safety, abysmal customer service, and pathetic management make it an establishment I would warn everyone to avoid. Stay away from this place if you expect even a basic level of professional hospitality.

We had a marvelous experience staying in a luxurious house between the nearly untouched beach and the jungle.
The house was decorated in a high standard way with all the facilities you need, and at the same time, you are in the middle of nature.
You can order a delicious breakfast and you can order private home cooking. The cook will offer you excellent Thai dishes!
If possible in the future, we come back!

This was our third stay at Railei Beach Club. We have loved this place, but this time it was changed. Both the houses and owners are lovely but the management and total experience of this place has changed for the worse since our last stay in 2019! We were used to outstanding service and good facilities like kayakrental, extra beachtoys and selfservice at the fridge near the clubhouse. All this is gone! The kayaks hanging under our house was just for the owners of the house!
They also had a strong focus on payment at the bar and no trust in us, the drinks are also terribly expencive! The same for the inhouse breakfast- not half as much food as the one I got four years ago!
We spent the first days missing our lovely stay at the beautiful island Koh Yao Noi were people are so friendly and not just interested in your money- much better value for money and much less tourists!
Railay has beatiful nature, but masstourism has distroyed this place! Be also aware to check your bill before check-out! We found out they put extra drinks to chart us that we didn’t order!!
Sadly we won’t be back unless the management of this place changes for better customerservice!
We stayed for 8 days during christmas at Baan Daya! Lovely Thaihouse, but next to a constructionplot and therefore not as secluded as we hoped!

Hello and thank you for your interest in Railei Beach Club. We have too many homes to detail for you here, but many are large enough to accommodate your group. Beach or Cliff Views. The reservations team can address all your questions.
Julianna,
Unfortunately TripAdvisor does not allow links or emails in this messaging platform. Our website was under maintenance but is running now, we are sorry for the inconvenience. You can direct message us on our Facebook page if needed. We would love to arrange a 4 night visit for you.
Kind regards,
The RBC Team.
Hello Kimberly, Yes, our staff is happy to answer answer any questions. But may we also suggest you click the "book now" button on the website with your dates and # of adults/children. Pictures of all houses available in the size you need will be listed. Since they are all different, I'm sure you will find viewing them helpful. At the very least, it's a good start. We encourage you to ask questions. I'm sure you will find the perfect home or guest house for your vacation. Hope to see you here!

Weston super Mare, United Kingdom150 contributions15 helpful votesHi. I’m really excited to have found this beach club, but a bit unsure which house to pick. We’re planning on coming March 2018 for 6 or 7 nights. There’s myself, hubbie and 2 sons age 19 and 10. So we really need 2 bedrooms with twin beds (or 1 bedroom can have large king), preferably 2 bathrooms, air con would be nice but maybe not essential (from reviews I’m reading) I love an ocean view but also like the idea of the jungle view and seeing the monkeys, wildlife etc... Kitchen would be great. Want to be sleeping on upper floor. I like the look of number 16 but some reviews have mentioned this is noisey from the bars/restaurants etc on Walking street(?) I am a mosquito magnet so would love the place to be as mozzie free as possible!
Any ideas which of these houses is best for all my wishes?
Is there much choice for eating out nearby? Thanks so much : )
I think you should contact the property, they can explain you all the possibilities as I have not visited all of the houses :) send email [reservations @ raileibeachclub . com], ask for Emma.
If you prefer to cook, RBC can help with groceries and market shopping (because only few small shops around). And You'll have choice of restaurants on Railey West (maybe 4 or 5) as well as Railey East (more restaurants there), its a short walk, 10-15 minutes maybe
We have many families with children who stay at our secure fenced facility, and there are many family friendly homes that will meet your criteria. Children also enjoy the Sandy paths and adventure of exploring nature.
Sand toys are usually plentiful as families often leave theirs behind to add to our collection. Most homes have plenty of bedding but extra bedding for your room is available. You will love the tranquility!
