I booked one night stay based on the ratings. What I didn't realize is that most people rate the wine tasting experience, not the accommodations. The quality of the room was by far the worst in all my travels, including in Georgia. Small stuffy room with barracks-grade two beds. It was very hot, and the open windows had no screens. In the two hours I spent in the room I was eaten alive by mosquitoes. After a while I realized that I would not be able to spend another 10 minutes there, let alone the night. I told the proprietor about my problem and she was shameless enough to charge me cancellation fee. Frankly, that was the ransom I was happy to pay to get out of that situation. I booked a nice hotel right across the fortress, at only a slightly higher rate than this place. There are much better (and bug-free) places to stay in the lovely town of Telavi.

Thanks Lela for a nice review. I can only advice you that before booking a place, see the booking details. All the information mentioned there. Photos of rooms, how many square meters in each room. Read the cancellation policy. Miloravas Guest House and Wine Cellar is a small, comfortable family-style cottage where you can enjoy countryside life, taste delicious homemade food and learn about Georgian traditional winemaking. All photos of rooms and informations are indicated on each booking site. Dear Lela, no one before you complained about mosquitoes here and I'm really sorry. You spent here half day and after show me one gnat-sting on your leg and decide to move to 5-star luxury hotel which was 10 times more expensive.

I really appreciate the kindness of host of this winery. The lunch under the two hundred old grape tree in the yard was amazing. As wine lover I can say for sure, I have tried most tasty high quality wine sorts for last year! Great bouquet, full body, amazing, balanced taste, carefully bottled using high quality materials, beautiful labels. There are also some very interesting types of infused chacha. Highly recommend to wine fans both professionals and amateurs! I cannot say more about guesthouse, but as I saw it was a very sweet small house in the backyard, which looks great!

Lovely and quiet spot, short walk from the city center. We were welcomed by the parents who didn't speak any English, but were very helpful anyway. Great place to discover the town and the area, and above all, they make their own delicious wine! make sure to book a tasting while you're there!

We spent one night at the Milorava's guest house. Enjoyed a nice breakfast. The family was really nice and welcoming.the house is surrounded by beautiful garden and vines. The family is working hard on creating a wine making place in the Georgian traditional way.beautiful. Only thing that bothered us was the shower- not so comfortable: tiny room and the shower is right on the toilet. Maybe a curtain will make a nice difference. Besides that, pleasant stay with warm welcoming family.
