I did not stay at the hotel, just visited the Spa in the basement. It is actually the oldest hot spring in Korea and sure worth a visit if you're in Asan or close by. Entrance fee is 7000KRW for one Adult with an unlimited amount of time to stay inside the bath. Inside a body scrub and massages can... More

The best part of this hotel is the bath--the public bath in the basement. It is a cultural experience--men and women have separate baths which have showers and faucets around the perimeter, and 4 or 5 separate soaking baths which have a variety of temperatures shown on a digital sign. You shower and wash before entering the bath. I know... More

My first trip to Asan, for business. Must have free heat, because there's no controlling the temperature. 90 degrees in my room for entire stay. Opened tiny window and got a fan from front desk....fan broke. Drain fell out of my sink first morning and spilled sludge all over my feet. Turned around to start shower and huge cockroach on... Hard to judge after staying at Grand Hyatt in Seoul. Definitely not that level. Room is spacious and comfortable. Shopping nearby but not too many good restaurants close enough to walk. Not all staff can handle English well beyond basic services.

It was 34 degrees C in the room the entire time...even with the window open. Could not sleep. The motion-sensing lighting in the hall and bathroom were frustrating, the elevator was slow and random...but other than that (!!!) the breakfast food and staff were delightful.

The hotel room is over heated and the amazing thing is even you open the tiny window cold doesn't coming in. Hot spring on basement have to go! It smells like ginseng instead. Interesting thing is people scrub themselves so hard to remove dead skin!

I was in a business trip and the staff, comodities and rooms are very well. The restaurant in the hotel is very good. The meat was very good, really. And the workers very very polite. Fantastic experience

Stayed here a week for business. On a previous trip my group stayed at the Hot Springs Hotel across the street and were all pretty miserable. I'm going back for a month and will definitely stay here. I had a recently renovated room. The room was on the smaller size but the bed was very comfortable. The wifi didn't work... More

Hotel has changed ownership....now the Cheil Hotel. Lobby is welcoming, restaurant options are excellent, location is great. However.......if you are a Western traveler over 5' 6" tall, seek another location to stay. While all beds in Korea are uncomfortable, this property sets a new standard. Very thin walls, old carpeting, older beds and bedding. Bathroom is indescribable. Showering is nearly... More
