In addition to the excellent food and spacious rooms, we mention the attractive location in a small village surrounded by farms, the hotel's showroom of antiques featuring pendulum wall clocks, and the very practical and personal assistance provided by Reuben, our host, which greatly increased the enjoyment of our driving trip.

My wife and I were ready to move into this wonderful gem. We were into our sixth night on the Camino- lite program and were fortunate enough to have been booked here by our tour agency, Country Walkers. What a profoundly wonderful experience. The service(Rueben), the food, the wine selections, and our room (Orsini Major) were all off the charts.... More

Stayed here for a couple of days with the family this is one of the res pt rural hotels we have stayed. It's hidden in the middle of the Spanish countryside, incredibly relaxing and very good service from the staff, breakfast is outstanding and cooked on demand and anything you would like. Rooms and nice spacious with very comfortable beds... More

we stayed one night as part of our Camino de Santiago tour. We had the Cassiopea suite which was has wood floors, exposed brick and is beautifully decorated with antiques. Windows open up to beautiful mountains and lovely cool breeze. Bathroom has a huge soaking tub which is just what I needed after our day of hiking! Had dinner there... More

We recently spent six nights at Posada Real Hosteria Camino - our third visit since our first review and we shall almost certainly be back next year. The welcome is warm and the rooms are comfortable, nicely furnished with modern en suite bathrooms. We had dinner in the hotel every evening of our stay. The menu is varied and interesting... More

On a map of northern Spain the tiny village of Luyego de Somoza can be found southwest of Astorga and off the main Camino Frances but seeking it out is worth the effort. In a seemingly centuries old building, the two brothers who run this Hosteria have completely restored and modernized it (light switches, bathrooms, etc.) without losing it's idyllic... More

A most interesting conversion in the middle of a small hamlet. The rooms were adequate with a comfortable bed. Loads of character in the building but some of it a bit OTT. The service varied but it was always friendly. Our pre ordered aperitifs didn't turn up, they had clearly forgotten about them. Dinner, whilst good, flattered to deceive. Some... More

We were supposed to be spending one night here but when we arrived found that the manager, in a spirit of helpfulness, had swapped our ground floor room for a second floor one so we would be away from the noise of a wedding that was going on, forgetting that we had booked a ground floor room because I have... Spent one night here on our trip. This is a beautifully restored property. We were in the "Osa Mayor" room. All rooms are named after constellations. The room was large and beautifully appointed. I was concerned about noise because it is directly over the bar but 'Rueben', our host, assured me it would be quiet at night as this was... More

From the moment we walked through the wood doors we were overwhelmed with this oasis in a beautiful small town . The rooms were exquisite with one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. The highlight of the evening was the dinner... Amazing food of exceptional quality... This is must for all travellers!! This was family owned and... More
