I stayed here because I was looking for a place to stay for a dinner at El Capricho in nearby Jimenez de Jamuz. This was my first trip to Spain and I was not familiar with the area but the hotel looked beautiful and I decided to book a room for a night. There's no other way to describe it...

This is a gracefully renovated boutique hotel in the middle of a charming village. Rooms are furnished with an eclectic selection of vintage and antique furniture and original artworks (all for sale). The bathrooms are modern. The bar and restaurant serves great beer, coffee and a great selection of local wines. Tapas are served late afternoon. It was a little...

In addition to the excellent food and spacious rooms, we mention the attractive location in a small village surrounded by farms, the hotel's showroom of antiques featuring pendulum wall clocks, and the very practical and personal assistance provided by Reuben, our host, which greatly increased the enjoyment of our driving trip.

My wife and I were ready to move into this wonderful gem. We were into our sixth night on the Camino- lite program and were fortunate enough to have been booked here by our tour agency, Country Walkers. What a profoundly wonderful experience. The service(Rueben), the food, the wine selections, and our room (Orsini Major) were all off the charts....

The welcome is warm and the rooms are comfortable, nicely furnished with modern en suite bathrooms. We had dinner in the hotel every evening of our stay. The menu is varied and interesting...

On a map of northern Spain the tiny village of Luyego de Somoza can be found southwest of Astorga and off the main Camino Frances but seeking it out is worth the effort. In a seemingly centuries old building, the two brothers who run this Hosteria have completely restored and modernized it (light switches, bathrooms, etc.) without losing it's idyllic...

A most interesting conversion in the middle of a small hamlet. The rooms were adequate with a comfortable bed. Loads of character in the building but some of it a bit OTT. The service varied but it was always friendly. Our pre ordered aperitifs didn't turn up, they had clearly forgotten about them. Dinner, whilst good, flattered to deceive. Some...
