Most horrible and disgusting behaviour from staff. We placed a booking via booking.com for a room. Our flight was delayed and we landed at around 10pm and got a taxi to this place. When we arrived the gate was locked. There was a man guarding the compound and we were trying to talk to him but he completely ignored us and just walked off and lay down on the sofa. We were left standing in the dark Infront of the gate for 20 minutes. Finally after searching through the email we managed to find the phone number, called it and we could hear the phone ringing from one of the ground floor rooms. The man got up to answer the phone and only then did he even bother to talk to us. He rudely came and said "you must respect us. we sent you an email but you did not respond so we don't accept you, go away." Serious wtf. Upon checking for this email, my friend found that they had sent it to us at 7pm the same day. We were literally on the flight when they sent the email. Do u expect a guest to respond to an email on the same day that they are traveling to Ur place? Luckily our driver was kind enough to recommend another hotel just down the road where the staff were so polite and hospitable. Seriously would not recommend this place to anyone. Would rather camp in a tent than stay at such a place where such rude and inhospitable behaviour is tolerated. Absolutely disgusting. Would rate it 0 stars. What kind of homestay turns away guests at 11pm at night who have already made a reservation? Absolute rubbish

We have choosed Sengigi, because we wanted to do day trips to north and to the south of the island. The owner - Burhan, offer us a private tours with him and i can guarantee, there is no better way how to get to know Lombok. He can show you hidden places (try lokal market!) and tell you all about life and history of Lombok. The rooms are clean and facing to the beatiful garden, but because of that we had a little bit issue with ants, who crowded on our porch every evening :) Accomodation is quite distant from touristic centre, so you need to use taxi to go to the dinner or buy a water (but supermarket is builded on the corner).

Very friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome for the few days we stayed. The gardens are really lovely. The only downside is you really can't walk anywhere interesting so we ended up using taxis to get around as the busy main road doesn't have much of a shoulder.

Pretty sure we were the only ones staying here. Greeted by a guy asleep and eventually by a lady who checked us in. Wanted payment before we'd seen the room. The basic room that we had was quite basic. Fan only. Large room but no amenities. The main issue we had was that we had no hot water or in fact no water at all in the room. I reported this in the morning once I had woken up the staff and he disappeared for half an hour. When I went to find him I was told it was now working. It wasn't. He said that the tank was filling up, give it ten minutes. It still didn't work. My advice is I can appreciate that out of season, everything slows down a little, but either don't receive bookings or reduce the room rate if it's not possible to provide basic amenities. No water, couldnt even flush the toilet, we left as early as we could and checked into our next accommodation right near Sengiggi Beach for the same price if not a little more. Met the owner on the way out who seemed pleasant but by that time the experience had been tainted.

Sasak garden for us is an idyllic place to stay. It offers comfortable, spatially rooms around a beautiful naturalistyc garden, all for a fair price. Moreover the rooms and garden are very tidy. In front one can relax at benches, enjoying the art, paintings and sculptures, by hand of the owner himself, Burhan. If asked he will explain possibilitys for sightseeings and things to do around Lombok. He is able to arrange tours, if asked he will be your guide himself. Again all for a fair price. Nicest thing in my opinion is, that having a trip with him gave more of an inside view of lombok. If asked he will tell you about nature, culture, politics and history around lombok all in fluent english. We were very lucky to find this place, enabeling us to relax and discovering lombok in an authentic way.
