Travelers' Choice
Our light, spacious, air-conditioned double and twin rooms surround a generous pool set in a beautiful tropical garden. We bring the outside in with our open air, garden bathrooms and the ‘eco’ theme continues to our roofs which are naturally insulated against the heat and planted with lemongrass. Ibludan’s fan-cooled, vintage style little wooden house (Ibludan Villa / Bungalow), complete with kitchen, bathroom and a choices of open sitting and lounging areas downstairs, offers privacy and a lovely place to relax. Ibludan is in a great location for getting around; we are a 400m walk from our local beach, Tanjung Bias - where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets and delicious local dishes - less than 10 minutes drive south of Senggigi,15 mins from Mangsit Beach, 20 mins from Mataram, 50 mins to Bangsal (for fast boat and North-west Gili connections) and less than an hour from the airport. Montong is a terrific place to find authentic Indonesian food - during the day there are plentiful 'warung' serving nasi campur and in the evenings, numerous 'kaki-lima' (pop-up food and satay stalls) cook up a storm.

Very friendly service, the best breakfast I've had on the island anywhere (including five star hotels), and a beautiful jungle of a garden surrounding a refreshing swimming pool. Really excellent value for money. And if you like the idea of traditional Sasak food (also great value for money), Sophie will show you where to buy from a local Ibu who is famous across the island. Her stall is just around the around (5 mins walk). Oh...and a fridge full of cold beers!

Thank you very much for your extremely kind review, Peter - it's always a treat for us when you stay here and we are really glad that you enjoy our place too! Our immediate area certainly provides a plethora of local food delights, especially in the late afternoon/evenings, and Ibu Mar must be one of the best :) We look forward to seeing you back here in Lombok some time in the future for more exciting exploring!

We arrived at night around 8.30 pm. The owner greeted us at the parking area, and helped to carry our luggage to the room while explaining the facilities and the surrounding. She was so welcoming that despite a tiring day I felt refreshed with her energy and warmth! Like most have mentioned, the place was very well kept, serene and very clean! The garden, the pool, the room, the huge bed, the shower, the breakfast, and the polite staff were all excellent. There was no in-room fridge/kettle, however there was a pantry nearby which we can use without hassle. I especially loved the homemade breakfast - the granola, bread and jam were very delicious. I felt like having a second helping every time. Pity we only stayed here for 2 nights, wish I could return one day. It was also interesting to know where the name Ibludan derived from. The nearby Tanjung Bias beach was a short stroll away where you can find a lot of stalls by the beach. We had our dinner there and the food was surprisingly finger licking good. I am so glad I chose this hotel among many others. Thank you to Sophie and the ever helpful son and the rest of the staff who made our stay memorable. I wish the hotel success and continue to become the best among the best.

We loved everything about Ibludan - so much so that we stayed five nights and then came back and stayed another six! Sophie and Hella, their family and wonderful staff make you feel like the most welcomed guests. They have a passion for Lombok, offered terrific recommendations and were always willing to assist in any way with anything we needed. This included arranging motorbikes for us to tour around Lombok. They have created a tranquil haven with beautiful tropical gardens attracting butterflies and lovely birds with a gorgeous large pool. With lots of seating around the pool, it’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon relaxing. The guest rooms are excellent - extremely well thought out and very comfortable with a lovely bathroom and special touches like a complimentary reusable bag for shopping or groceries. The granola breakfast might be the best I’ve had in Indonesia, or anywhere else! Wifi is also terrific. There’s free cool drinking water available a time and a communal “mini bar” to shop from so you have drinks on hand - super handy if you like a beer or wine. For food, there are lots of warungs nearby - especially on the beach at Tanjung Bias just 300m or so away. We loved the location just south of Sengiggi and close to Mataram - it is fantastic spot to explore around the beautiful coastal area. I couldn’t imagine a nicer, more relaxing place to stay. Just wonderful. We can’t wait to return!

Thank you both, so very much indeed! We really enjoyed having you here and especially getting to share a mutual pleasure in the not so obvious delights of Lombok :) Thank you also for introducing me to the beautiful place on the hillside nearby; absolutely right, it's a gem! Do hope we get to see you back here in the future - looking forward to your return!
