It's an hour from here to Madrid Barajas airport, and I couldn't drive any further. I found myself in a little mountain town up against the autopista, and VOILA. My luck was in! Here was a spotless little apartment, roomy and bright, where I could do my day's online work with a lightning-fast connection. There's a fabulous bakery around the corner with a delicious vegan empanada and craft beers, all for takeaway to the room... which has plates, silverware, and a bottle opener!
And best of all, there's a sweet little SPA downstairs, the perfect end to a long long day! I slept like a rock all night, and awoke refreshed.
This place is a gem. I will be back!

This place is a gem. I have family in Spain and visit quite frequently and was happy to find a wonderful place nearby. Location is perfect for travel to Segovia, but allows for relaxation away from the city. The rooms are immaculate, modern and beautiful. Outstanding service!

My wife and I were driving from San Sebastián to Madrid but didn’t want to spend all of our remaining 3 nights in Madrid. We were looking for spa treatments in Madrid and the average was around €115 per hour in the Madrid city limits. We found Artesa Apartments & Spa on Priceline and got a great deal for staying the night in their suite for €115 for the night. We then both received 1 hour massages for €55 each. So we ended up doing a massage both at night and in the morning for the price we would have paid for just 1 hour each in Madrid. It was a great experience. It felt like a spa retreat. They served breakfast to us at our door. There is only 2 restaurants in town so be aware you are going there to be pampered for the spa. Amazing staff. Great massages!! It’s also a place for skiers in the winter.

Our apartment was gorgeous. We stayed for one night on return to the U.K. The Spa on the ground floor exudes a glorious fragrance through the whole building. Despite the outside temperature( first week November and under 10 degrees C) the apartment was warm and cosy.
The bedroom was lovely. The shower room was everything we could have wished for.
As self catering addicts, our kitchenette was fine for a short stay. Parking was easy in the near by village square. Excellent bakery in the village square close to the apartment. This was one of the best short stay apartments we have ever stayed at.

Small 6 apartment block with each room being on a rural theme including honey, milk, cereals, wild flowers. Comfortable and quiet. Friendly staff. Spa facilities a bonus. Limited eating within village, but excellent value for money. Wonderful bakery across road. Easy reach of a number of National Parks and historic towns. Only an hour from Madrid airport, and within a mile of the main Madrid - Burgos motorway.

Everything about this place is great - clean, comfy and staff are very friendly and helpful. The only reason why I give it 4/5 is because the first night we stayed there, hotel staff were in the apartment next door to us and were very loud, keeping us up till after 12:30.

The breakfast isn't worth buying, I'd just go to the bakery next door and save yourself $$.

Also, the kitchenette isn't well stocked so don't expect to be making any sophisticated dinners!

Can't get more quiet and relaxed than this! The small village of Santo Tomé is a few miles away from La Pinilla skiing station, this is the place you want to book if you really appreciate an almost complete silence, peace and quiet. Built in 2014 over the grounds of the old bakery, the builing hosts 6 apartments and an underground massage and Spa facility, that is really enjoyable in winter. We booked our stay online for a family room and really enjoyed the apartment we got: 2 bathrooms with heated floor (one en-suite), 2 nice bedrooms, a huge living room, 3 new LG smart TVs that do allow USB and HDMI connections, free wi-fi... Everything new... Special mention to the great anti-slippery shower and the useful kitchenette. We enjoyed a nice snowy mountain view from the "flor y nata" apartment (yes, each one has a special name instead of a room number). The breakfast is served at your room door at the desired time, and features capsules to make your own coffee, as there is a Dolce Gusto machine in the room. The staff is really friendly and strive to help.
Just a few meters away from the hotel is the bakery/patisserie, familly-owned for more than 400 years, that's where the hotel breakfast goods are taken from, and everyting is delicious! We had the chance to visit it from the inside, and around 7/8 people were working, that's just too much for a 300 people small village, but customers probably come from miles around to get homemade bread, typical pastries and Xmas specialties like the famous turrón, marrons glacés... It was crowded!
I know I will be back with the kids, they just loved everything.

We stayed for two nights to get a break from the city and to disconnect. This place is great for that! Situated in a tiny village, the apartments have everything they need to make you feel at home. The service is very good and the staff very nice. The enclosed spa is well equipped and while we were there, we had it all to ourselves. The owner also offers a beer tasting with him and we had a nice evening, listening to explanations of the different kinds of beers and local stories. He offered a fine selection of crafted beers from the region and imports.

Remember, this is a remote place. So there is not much choice in terms of shopping or else and opening times are limited. But you can find great local produce!

We were travelling down from the UK to the south of Spain and you really could not find more convenient, fantastic, modern accommodation a minute's drive from the A1 just north of Madrid. We didn't use the Spa but it looked superb. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable with very fast free wifi connection. The small kitchen area was more than adequate and the shower room would not have been amiss in a 5* hotel. Cannot recommend this apartment enough! Will definitely stay again.

El coste del Spa en nuestro caso iba a parte de la reserva de las habitaciones, no obstante hay que reservar hora.
