Echoing others reviews , the food is wonderful! Don't eat for the day prior to dinner as the portions are huge! Pity we couldn't do dessert justice! The room was beautifully decorated. Lots of things to do in the area especially if you are National Trust fans.

Such a lovely place to stay - really nicely set out, really clean, gorgeous rooms, powerful shower and comfy beds. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly, considering I wasn't well - can't recommend enough.

We stayed here for three nights and it was a great find. The food was excellent, the service was slow but the food was well worth waiting for. The room was a little small but adequate. There is a beautiful beer garden which with we were lucky to take advantage of due to the glorious weather. We wouldn't hesitate to stay... More

We chose to stay here for a red letter Christmas present and we're delighted with our choice. The hotel is tastefully decorated throughout, with a lot of thought gone into the detail. The staff are very welcoming, pleasant and attentive. The menu is imaginative and our food was absolutely delicious. I've never seen blackcurrant and liquorice ice cream anywhere else... More

We stay in this area every year at this time of year and have always stayed where we had to pass the old orleton every morning for the 4 days we were around. We always misunderstood the name so always wondered what it was, so thank goodness for the net which introduced us to the old orleton Inn.. This year... More

Having stayed elsewhere for the Shrewsbury Flower Show we decided on a change for 2016 and found this place through Bookings.com. From the time we arrived we were treated to polite staff, a quick and efficient check in and a very comfortable and well furnished room with all comforts, biscuits, chocolates, tea and coffee and really comfortable beds. We ate... More

Sorry to say that after booking this supposed 5 star hotel for our anniversary weekend, I was left feeling disappointed. Pictures on website are very cleverly taken! Right on a main road, our room was tiny (rm 9) and roadside so very noisy, room was very hot, bathroom was like walking into a cupboard. Decor was lovely though. Breakfast was... More

Thank you for reviewing our Inn on Tripadvisor. I am so sorry you thought the stay was disappointing. I have lived in Telford for most of my life and am in my 50s but have never visited the Old Orleton until Wednesday 3 August. I have driven past the hotel for years, even when it was called The Falcon. My husband decided one night that we should go out for a meal at the last minute, so I... More

Came over to Telford to visit friends and they booked us in for an evening meal. From the minute we entered 1830hrs to the minute we left 2300hrs the atmosphere was terrific, very cosy and relaxed. The staff although unobtrusive were attentive, happy and friendly. Beer was very good for those real ale lovers like myself with 2 very good... More
