The room was comfortable and simple. Everything you needed and everything worked. Breakfasts were delicious and healthy. Casa Ana was lovely with breathtaking views in a peaceful setting. Plenty of outdoor spaces to relax and a large shared lounge with free wifi to relax in too. A perfect base for walking in the Alpujarras.

We stayed as a couple on a walking & photography holiday. We weren't expecting such gourmet food. Breakfasts, lunches (when provided) and dinners were all delicious and plentiful. Catering for vegetarian / vegan didn't seem to be any problem either. The accommodation was traditional (and fascinating as such) but with all modern conveniences like underfloor heating, which we needed as...

We spent a few days in beautiful tranquil Casa Ana and liked it so much we have booked it to run a creative writing retreat this June. The rooms are tastefully decorated and comfy and offer different options- twin, single, double with ensuite or shared bathrooms. The terrace and gardens are beautiful with lovely views. The food is delicious and...

We usually camp or stay in basic places in Scotland so my review is based on this background (and its my first review). This place is beautiful and in Feb the mix of almond blossom, oranges deserted paths , idyllic villages and tasteful accommodation is hard to beat. We loved the courtyard, the extra space in the outside stunning living...

We stayed at Casa ana for a total of 8 nights spread over a two week period in September 2015. The rooms are simple and charming with an abundance of character. The hotel itself is utterly charming and seems to inspire a peaceful feeling as you sit relaxing and soaking up the views and surrounding countryside. We also had an...

I stayed here with a friend for four nights, and couldn't have asked for a more relaxing, interesting and enjoyable holiday. The rooms were simple, clean and full of character - our two rooms opened onto a common terrace that overlooked the valley and mountains, and we did yoga every morning on another terrace that gave a new meaning to...

We went to Casa Ana for a walking holiday in April of this year. The program was well-planned and we had great fun with the other people in the group. Anne ensures everyone is comfortable and well-fed, and the kitchen staff are amazing, serving up tasty breakfasts and (included in our package) dinners. Great base for walking holiday. Check out...

I stayed for two nights at Casa Ana near to Capileira to watch the 7th stage of Vuelta a Espana. The perfect choice! A delightful very old sensitively converted house in the pretty village of Ferreirola. My room was perfect opening on to a terrace with fabulous mountain views. A lovely common lounge has been built, simple but tastefully furnished...

Tucked away deep into the Alpujarra valley of the Sierra Nevada lays a hidden gem. Casa Ana is a simple BnB / Hotel in a very small white village at the end of the road. There are no shops, no bars, no restaurants - just peace and tranquility. Once you find Casa Ana you feel truly welcome. It is not...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Ana is a historic village house in the mountainous Alpujarra region of Andalucia. Once a family home, with a wine press, olive store, barns and a goat shed, the property was lovingly restored between 2005 and 2013. It provides comfortable, quiet accommodation with 8 en suite bedrooms, dining room, sitting room, a Moorish courtyard garden and several south-facing terraces. The style is simple and traditional - chestnut roof beams and terracotta floors - but with modern comforts, including underfloor central heating in winter and rain showers. At Casa Ana we provide delicious breakfasts using local produce - fresh oranges from village growers, local honey, eggs, bread, hams and olive oil. Picnic lunches are also available. The house is located in the mountain village of Ferreirola (population around 28), near Pitres. The village has fantastic views of the Trevelez river gorge, and is a wonderful base to go walking, explore the Sierra Nevada National Park, visit the traditional white villages of the Alpujarra or take a day trip to Granada or the Mediterranean beaches. ... more   less
