#6 of 7 Specialty lodging in Vanderhoof
This seasonal business is located approx. 1 hour south of Vanderhoof in Finger/Tatuk Provincial Park. The resort offers 7 modern cabins, with one being wheelchair friendly, complimenting the accessible dock area and lift. In addition, there are 10 campsites with a large grassy area, overlooking the creek where grizzly bears can be spotted in the fall: fishing for spawning kokanee. Wonderfully serene and with great fishing; this is the perfect location for families to get-away, undisturbed, from the outside world.

This resort is one of our families favorite places to go to and has been for many years. It is a short 2 hour drive from Prince George. We always stay in the cabin that is lakeside, no hot water and an outhouse...sleeps 4. There is propane for cooking, woodstove for warmth, a fresh supply of wood provided when needed. We enjoy sitting on the front porch, lake watching, observing the duck families, kingfisher diving for fish, loons and other wildlife.,when we are not out fishing. There are 4 other cabins up on the hill that provides a panoramic view of the lake. Guests bring their own bedding and supplies. There are campsites for tenting and motor homes ,boat rentals, power is generator supply. One of the cabins is very large, accommodates people with disabilities, there is a wheelchair shower,a lift and ramp. The newly re-furbished docks are also handicapped accessible. The owners of the resort (4) are extremely pleasant, and knowledgeable about the surrounding area, and history. There is great fishing, depending on the time of year, and hunting for those who indulge. An awesome quiet, meditative surrounding that restores my soul with each visit.
