When booking over the phone, Fiona made a lovely first impression. Throughout our conversation she was gracious and professional. We chose the Epicurean Indulgence package including dinner from the tasting menu, one night's accommodation and breakfast. This would also be a nice base to stay and visit the surrounding beautiful countryside without having dinner in the restaurant. The hotel is... More

Situated just outside St Andrews this is a must visit for special occasions! It is pricey but you are assured of great food and service. A variety of menus from which to choose from is available. Perhaps a little fussy with protocol but overall a very good experience.

Lunch for my husbands birthday. We've been before but not to the back of the restaurant which has beautiful garden views, we got the big round table which is such a lovely spot; amazing lunch, wonderful food, brilliant service. Food was out of this world, service first class, staff are very knowledgable - my friend asked about sherry and the... More

Wow, have heard nothing but great reviews and now can understand why. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and staff can't do enough for you, attentive but not in your face and more importantly, the food was amazing. My taste buds were treated to fantastic flavours. We went for lunch but decided against the very reasonable set menu and chose from... More

The rooms are comfortable and well appointed and the brownies are very good indeed. Dinner was excellent; very nicely served and relaxed. Flavours were delicious...who would have thought to pair lobster with an onion tart but it works...and the soufflé for dessert was fabulous. We thought this would be a one-off but we will be looking for an excuse to... More

We were given a voucher by our thoughtful family and used it last night. It was lovely from start to finish. Sherry and chocolate brownies in our room on arrival then a leisurely bath before dinner. The food was first class and the service faultless. A very comfortable huge bed and then a delicious breakfast served in our room. Everyone... More

This will be certainly one of the best restaurants (with rooms) in the area. What a fabulous place to dine. This restaurant has been on the go for a long time and the new owners in the last few years have brought it back to the highest standards that you can imagine. The service, dinning rooms and staff are amazing,... More

First time at Peat Inn and will definitely be back. Sherry and home made chocolate brownies on arrival, fantastic meal, lovely breakfast served in your room. Just a marvellous way to spend an evening away from the hurly burly of life. Don't let the price put you off because it's worth every penny. Go and enjoy!

I had the pleasure of stopping briefly at The Peat Inn today courtesy of my 2 year old needing to use the bathroom. I randomly appeared at the reception area to be greeted by a very welcoming woman. She showed my son and I to a bedroom (which was absolutely stunning) where we could use the facilities. Afterwards she presented... More
