About Us Literally translating to 'The Goat's Place' in English, La Chevrerie was borne out of a French diver's dream who was then just visiting Batangas to set up a place where he could let his pet goats roam freely and where he could be one with nature-enjoying the sweeping view of the beautiful sea and sunset. From this simple dream of having a quaint retreat space for himself, the French diver then decided that this blissful sanctuary was too good to be kept a secret and he set up La Chevrerie-a world-class boutique resort that promises guests a seamless fusion of comfort and style, recreation and relaxation, simplicity and indulgence. ACCOMODATIONS To ensure utmost privacy and exclusive indulgence for each guest, the resort has limited its accommodations to just 13 rooms. This limited number of rooms assures guests that each need is attended to with undivided care and attention by the resort's staff. Together, the resort's 13 rooms represent a contemporary interpretation of an effortless fusion of style and comfort, simplicity and indulgence. Designed with the highly refined aesthetics of its French owner, the resort treats guests to European perfection in modern tropical style. The sleekness of the neutral colored walls punctuated by a pop of color and the understated elegance of the wooden fixtures-all imported from countries that currently only export to European markets-mix together perfectly to relax and re-energize, giving guests that authentic experience of European luxury and comfort Suite Room Perfect for couples wishing to have their own little tranquil sanctuary, the Suite Rooms offer extra exclusivity by occupying a space separate from the resort's main hall. Perched right by the shore, guests can enjoy an undisturbed 270-degree view of the pristine waters as they retreat into pure bliss-a spacious room (82 sqm.) Complete with the luxuries of a lavish bedroom, sitting room, dining room, and an ultra-sleek bathroom. Deluxe Room Located in the resort's main hall, Deluxe Rooms provide guests with the ultimate comfort as they retire from an adventure-filled day by the beach. Each 43-sqm. Room comes complete with a spacious veranda with an impressive 270-degree sea view, a richly luxurious bed and ultra elegant fixtures-all designed to impress and indulge. All Deluxe Rooms also offer guests the choice of having either a king-sized bed or a twin bed. RESTAURANT L'Atelier Restaurant L'Atelier is the resort's premium bar and restaurant. Like the resort's suites, L'Atelier also evokes the perfect fusion of sophistication and comfort not just with its rustic yet modern design but also with the simple yet elegant gastronomic feast it treats guests to. The resort's in-house chefs meticulously pick only the finest and freshest ingredients to indulge guests in the healthiest organic dishes and the freshest seafood. With the exceptional culinary standards upheld by its staff, L'Atelier's dishes are sure to satisfy even the pickiest of palettes. Apart from its own bar of fine liquors, L'Atelier also has its very own wine cellar-carefully filled with only the most premium labels-giving guests the perfect cap to their gastronomic experience. SPA & WELLNESS La Brise Spa To make guests experience the ultimate relaxation, La Chevrerie's spa-La Brise-employs the best staff and uses nothing but the most luxurious spa products. Here, guests can indulge in the most relaxing and sensual spa treatment they'll ever experience. Perched right by the waterfront to give guests a sweeping view of the calming waters and allow the relaxing feel of the sea breeze and sound of the gently crashing waves to envelope them in pure bliss, La Brise offers nothing but the best-a team of expert massage therapists and premium spa products all imported from Europe. OUR ACTIVITIES Providing the perfect balance to the resort's luxurious and relaxing ambience, La Chevrerie also offers gives guests exclusive access to a wide array of outdoor activities-satisfying not just the desire for tranquility, but also for adventure. Scuba Diving Anilao has long been a favorite destination not just of local, but also foreign divers. Its rich waters teeming with beautiful marine life-unspoiled coral reefs and vibrant sea creatures-has made it the top diving destination in the country, attracting droves of diving professionals and hobbyists alike. In keeping with its desire to give guests a truly world-class experience, La Chevrerie's Dive Center also carries MARES, one of the most trusted and highly-regarded brand of diving gears. Adding to its impressive arsenal of high quality gears, the dive center also provides guests with in-house SSI-certified dive instructors that can give both diving professionals and hobbyists alike exactly the level of training they need-from Open Water, to Advanced Water and Nitrox training-before they head out to explore the wonderful, world-famous marine life of Anilao. Snorkeling For those who want to get up close and personal with Anilao's wonderful array of sea creatures and coral life but prefer to skip the training and diving gears, beautiful coral gardens in shallow open waters are also abundant in the area. With the clearest of waters and the calmest of currents, Anilao is perfect not just for diving but also for snorkeling. Boat Cruise and BBQ After an eventful morning of diving, guests can unwind with an exclusive boat cruise to the beautiful islands of Maricaban and Sombrero-two of the islands nearest to La Chevrerie. Feasting their eyes on the magnificent ocean view, feeling the warm glow of the sun on their skin, and smelling the fresh salty air as it breezes through their hair, guests welcome a relaxing and re-energizing experience as they go on the 15-minute cruise en route to the islands. Once on the island, guests get to complete this feast of the senses with a guided snorkeling tour around the island's breathtaking coral-lined perimeter followed by the most luscious of all gastronomic delights-a lavishly prepared seafood BBQ specially prepared by L'Atelier's in-house chefs. Truly an experience to behold, the boat cruise and BBQ is the epitome of La Chevrerie's exceptional level of service. Trekking Making sure that guests have access to all sorts of recreational activities, La Cheverie has also prepared an in-land nature-appreciation experience for those who wish to remain ashore. Conveniently tucked near the resort is a gently sloping hill that resort staff can gladly take interested guests to. Designed to be a half-day activity, the hill's peak can be reached by guests with a 2-hour trek from the resort. For guests who wish to take a shortcut, La Chevrerie's chauffeur services can also take them to a drop-off point that's a mere 20-minute walk away from the hill's peak. With its gentle slopes-rising 525 meters above sea level-the hill can easily be trekked both by mountain climbing enthusiasts and beginners alike. Guests can bask in quiet wonder at the beautiful scenery as they slowly ascend the hill. Upon reaching the hilltop, the unobstructed view of Anilao's grasslands merging seamlessly with the clear waters of Balayan Bay is sure to take guests' breath away and make the long trek up more than worth it. Pool Swimming For guests who want to take a dip in the waters but prefer to stay in the shade, La Chevrerie provides a swimming pool facility conveniently covered by coconut and mango trees. Located just a few feet from the beach, the pool offers a great alternative to guests who want to indulge themselves with the view of the ocean but opt not to go in open waters.

Detailed Reviews
The staff go out of their way to cater to your every need, the owners are very hands-on and meticulous with high standards, the layout of the place is pretty compact and straightforward. Rooms are comfortably furnished, they have an in-house spa, loungers are available overlooking the sea.
If you do get tired of the same menu items in their in-house restaurant, L’atelier, they are happy to cater to custom requests in advance.
We have been going back for 3 years with extended family and plan to do so yearly!

After 8 long months, we felt safer coming here rather than meeting up with friends and other family members. At the resort, our masks were off because the nearest people around us were at least 3-5 meters away. Staff was wearing masks the entire time and even the dining areas are open and have great ventilation. Additionally, all rooms were thoroughly disinfected in between guests.
The staff was great. They're warm, helpful, accommodating. The restaurant menu was extensive so we had ample choices for the 4 days that we were there. They had a good selection of cocktails too. I was probably drinking 4-5 glasses each day. 😆
The rooms are spacious as well as the bathroom. The seating area outside the bedroom was also a great addition if you just want to lounge and have a nice view of the pool and the beach.
Our favorite spot was the loungers by the pool. Right after breakfast, we would head and hang out there, work, have lunch by the poolside and stay till sundown. Indeed a good break from staying home for 8 long months. ❤️

We were here for a holiday with family! The resort is beautiful and intimate! I am particularly picky on the room and bed cleanliness, and they meet my requirements! We saw some divers around but overall this resort is not congested and we like to have some own space. Highly recommended the beach BBQ in an island not too far away. I love their polite and friendly staff. Though some may say that it takes 2.5 - 3 hours to come here from Manila city, I would say it is still worth spending time on the road, as this is the closest location to be near the sea and nature! Not even to mention the stunning sunset view!

La Chevrerie is a beach front resort with rooms all facing a sea view that is rare near metro manila. It was fully booked when we got there so it feels crowded when everyone is out since the place is small and the pool is also small. Perhaps it's better to visit the resort during off peak season.
We just spent our time at the resort lazing in the balcony or keeping the curtains of our room glass doors open, taking in what we essentially wanted, that is, the stunning view of vastness of the sea, which, as always never ceases to amaze me.
The staff, especially the restaurant staff are polite and courteous. I appreciate how they set up one of our dinner near the pool though we weren't able to use it because it rained.
I find the room just fine but I strongly suggest that a bidet be installed in the toilet. I also recommend they include a conditioner and moisturizer in the toiletries. Thanks to one of the staff who went the extra mile in giving me a treatment conditioner.
Choose the upper rooms as the ground rooms won't give you privacy when curtains are drawn open, and people walking on the grounds can take a look inside your room.
Though we were on break from work, we still need to connect in our workplace and it frustrated us that the wifi signal in the resort is weak.
Minor glitch was our room aircon dripping with water. They were not able to fix it right away.. The ceiling fan also went dead. Had to call the reception and house staff a number of times but no one was answering. Probably their hands were full with the number of guests.. We ended up having a hot humid afternoon. It was compensated when we went out to lie down on a sunbed and had a magnificent sunset view.
Nothing much to do if you just stay around the resort, so if you want adventure, get into the various water activities the resort is offering. You will enjoy the place if what you are looking for is a place to bask in the fresh air and sunlight with matching breathtaking view of the sea. You will also appreciate visiting the resort if you are a diving enthusiast as Anilao is a great diving place.

There are many resorts in Mabini but unfortunately many have very steep stairs to deal with. Some have their restaurants or the pool located in an inconvenient location where we have hard time to walk up and down for the food. This small resort is perfectly designed in a way that we only need to walk few steps one time for check in/out. Beautiful pool, garden with sea view, very full breakfast. Food are tasty. Our children like it. All the quiet comfort for a good stay in Anilao!

We enjoyed a relaxing stay at La Chevrerie Resort and Spa for a week.
The airport-hotel shuttle was waiting for us as expected with a very safe, convenient transfer both ways considering the sometimes challenging traffic of Manilla and the stormy weather. The resort and it’s grounds are well maintained and make for a good first impression.
The rooms are decorated with a modern European inspiration that holds true to the French name. They are spacious and clean with a very acceptable bathroom. The balcony is spacious and comfortable to enjoy a gorgeous sunset overlooking the swimming pool area and the ocean.
The French themed restaurant is very open and inviting to sit for a meal and enjoy the views. The menu caters for a variety of tastes with generous, tasty portions.
The staff is all-round friendly and very accommodating, always picking up on the small things to add to the overall experience.
We used the week to do a lot of scuba diving and although we certainly missed a camera room the resort did it’s best to facilitate our diving, culminating in a week of great, easy diving.
Although not a diving-specific resort, we would certainly not hesitate to recommend it or to return one day.

La Chevrerie is a lovely resort that offers the best of everything in Mabini/Anilao. Diving of course, and we enjoyed that with their excellent divemaster and crew, but that’s something that can be had at almost any resort in the area. At La Chevrerie, things non-divers will appreciate as well are available. Private trips for a beach barbecue at a local island, island-hopping trips, a beautiful pool for swimming and lounging, gym, and children’s playroom are some of the options. Topping it off is a very good restaurant serving a diverse international menu; a number more restaurants are within a short walk.
All of the rooms in this small resort are the same, large well-decorated rooms with king beds, all oceanfront. We liked the view from the 2nd floor best.
One other thing that sets La Chevrerie apart, which to me is so important, is the quality of service. Everyone you run across greets you with a smile; the attitude is always “what can I do for you?”. Sometimes it seems that you’re only thinking of something and someone appears who can take care of it for you.
Overall, we greatly enjoyed our time at La Chevrerie; we’ll be back!

Do you want to be disappointed?
I’ve been coming here with my wife and family since 2016. A few years ago this was a great resort but it has massively deteriorated in the last years.
Now this place has descended into the dark abyss of bad customer service.
If the owners are not there, staff could care less about your (the guest’s) well being.
Hotel needs an urgent renovation.
Quality of rooms has greatly decreased. Cleanliness is bad. I enclose a picture of a restaurant chair cover - you deserve better !
Pool is sometimes so unclean that you have no desire to go in.
Additionally, they told us that they had a new policy that after check out, guests are not even allowed to spend money in the restaurant and eat. If they want to, they have to spend an additional cover charge per hour on top of the money for the food that they order. Have you ever heard of such an outrageous thing? You deserve better!
My best advice for you is: don’t spend your precious money and valuable time here!

Response from FredCarmen C, Owner at La Chevrerie Resort & Spa
Responded Feb 8, 2023
Dear Mr. Tom Oliver, Thank you for taking so much time to put up the review. Just would like to correct. You started to come to stay at the resort in May 2018, not 2016. After the pandemic, you returned last August, September and October. Your last stay was 1st weekend of February this year. If our resort is so unbearable, we have no idea why you kept on returning to our resort. The only reason we can think of is because we no longer offer you complimentary upgrade to the suite room, where you requested every time before you come, and while you were here already. Besides, your request of extending the check-out time to 8 pm is not accommodated as there is a fee incurred on the late check out. If you can recall, we have been offering you the free update to the suite room, and allowed you to have a very late check out (8 pm) without a charge several times already. The resort has its policy, and we have been communicating with you via email, phone message and face to face conversation. Obviously the anger arose at your end this time is because we no longer give free upgrade and free late check out at 8 pm. All our policy and check-out time are clearly shown on the hotel voucher, resort website, and the face-to face orientation during the check-in. Our resort guests have been very co-operative and reasonable. We do not have the same issue ever since! We do not need to spend time here to debate on the subject of our facility maintenance, service, etc. We have many returned guests, and they recommend our resort to their friends, colleagues, and relatives. Usually people describe it 'The Moment of Truth'. Obviously your action of repeatedly stay at our resort proves this fact as well! Lastly, we would also like to remind you that your bill on the extended hours of last stay was not settled yet. We sincerely wish you the best luck to find other resorts which can accommodate all your special requests without having a charge incurred!

We stayed here 2 months ago for scuba diving, and came back again this month. We were told that it is a monsoon season now, so we do not expect too much to see from the sea. To our surprise, we can see very colorful and scarce water creatures. The visibility underwater is clear, even after occasional rains. Thanks to the dive master who show us to the different dive spots that we never went there before. We also rest very well on the comfortable beds. The food are delicious and fit our special dietary preference. The dive package is arranged professionally, and that even the car driver is very attentive. We all had a satisfactory dive trip with many beautiful photos taken back home!

Excellent little hotel, great service and food. These are the comments my friend and I are glad to give to the resort staff during our 2nd time stay.
The deluxe room was absolutely stunning and comfortable. This small resort does not accommodate many guests and therefore we can relax on the pool bench and the bean bags quietly. We have stayed in other resorts nearby. Unfortunately the big groups of guests caused some disturbance from the noise and music.
The enjoyment of having the breakfast and meals with the view over the sea is unbeatable.
The staff at the reception and dive shop are smiley and helpful.
Our dives are exceptionally fantastic! Water is so clear with sunny blue sky! Hopefully the same luck stays with us on our next stay!
