La Chevrerie is a lovely resort that offers the best of everything in Mabini/Anilao. Diving of course, and we enjoyed that with their excellent divemaster and crew, but that’s something that can be had at almost any resort in the area. At La Chevrerie, things non-divers will appreciate as well are available. Private trips for a beach barbecue at a local island, island-hopping trips, a beautiful pool for swimming and lounging, gym, and children’s playroom are some of the options. Topping it off is a very good restaurant serving a diverse international menu; a number more restaurants are within a short walk. All of the rooms in this small resort are the same, large well-decorated rooms with king beds, all oceanfront. We liked the view from the 2nd floor best. One other thing that sets La Chevrerie apart, which to me is so important, is the quality of service. Everyone you run across greets you with a smile; the attitude is always “what can I do for you?”. Sometimes it seems that you’re only thinking of something and someone appears who can take care of it for you. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our time at La Chevrerie; we’ll be back!…
Excellent little hotel, great service and food. These are the comments my friend and I are glad to give to the resort staff during our 2nd time stay. The deluxe room was absolutely stunning and comfortable. This small resort does not accommodate many guests and therefore we can relax on the pool bench and the bean bags quietly. We have stayed in other resorts nearby. Unfortunately the big groups of guests caused some disturbance from the noise and music. The enjoyment of having the breakfast and meals with the view over the sea is unbeatable. The staff at the reception and dive shop are smiley and helpful. Our dives are exceptionally fantastic! Water is so clear with sunny blue sky! Hopefully the same luck stays with us on our next stay!
Do you want to be disappointed? I’ve been coming here with my wife and family since 2016. A few years ago this was a great resort but it has massively deteriorated in the last years. Now this place has descended into the dark abyss of bad customer service. If the owners are not there, staff could care less about your (the guest’s) well being. Hotel needs an urgent renovation. Quality of rooms has greatly decreased. Cleanliness is bad. I enclose a picture of a restaurant chair cover - you deserve better ! Pool is sometimes so unclean that you have no desire to go in. Additionally, they told us that they had a new policy that after check out, guests are not even allowed to spend money in the restaurant and eat. If they want to, they have to spend an additional cover charge per hour on top of the money for the food that they order. Have you ever heard of such an outrageous thing? You deserve better! My best advice for you is: don’t spend your precious money and valuable time here!…
This is a beautiful little boutique hotel right on the water with a dive center. The service is absolutely excellent. Previous reviews about a receptionist who is always on the phone are no longer true, the receptionists are extremely attentive and very professional. They were able to arrange last minute diving masters for us to refresh our certification. Sure dive and then straight out to regular diving among the reefs, absolutely gorgeous like driving in an aquarium. The dive masters they procure for you are also extremely professional and very nice to spend a day with. The place has an intimate feeling as not too many guests are accommodated at once, unlike other resorts nearby. The food is good, the drinks are also good, the rooms are spacious and clean and all have an excellent view of the water. We would happily come back here over and over again and recommend it highly to all of you who read this review! Hopefully we can still get a room next time! One last note is that the women at the front desk were extremely helpful with odd requests such as providing a an adapter for my computer cord and mosquito spray! It's both the big things and little things that matter, then they're doing an excellent job at La Chevreverie. Merci pour un weekend merveilleux.…
We were on business trips to the Philippines, and luckily found this place for a long weekend stay. Lovely retreat with a stunning atmosphere and the loveliest staff. It has limited rooms so it is not so loud. Everywhere is clean. The room was a good size and huge shower/ bathroom. Quite many food and drink choices. If you are looking for a place to relax, read and quietly sip your drink, then this is a perfect place for you ..
the room is very spacious and comfortable, with a large balcony where one can lounge and enjoy the breathtaking view. the staff are accommodating and friendly. the only downside is the food- definitely needs some improvement here. otherwise, perfect for some needed rest
Our friends told us that this resort allows dogs. We are so excited that finally we can bring our loved dog with us for vacation! This resort is very pet friendly. There are also 2 small Shih Tzu belonging to the resort owner. Our dog is a bit shy in the beginning, and soon get along very well with other dogs. We also bring our dog to swim on the beach to swim. Good swimming lesson in the sea! We are very satisfied with the room cleanliness, the food, the quietness, and the staff's service. Will come back hopefully around Christmas time!
We have stayed at this resort multiple times over the last 4 years. We love the rooms, the comfortable sun loungers and the beautiful backdrop and the sea! The staff were always a joy to deal with and the service provided was first rate. However on this occasion we found the restaurant service to have deteriorated. For 2 days running we have had to wait more than 30 minutes for our food and today the food that arrived was not acceptable. The clam chowder and vegetable soups were just water/sauce with very little veg or seafood. Our sea divers salads came with just little morsels of seafood on the top. After pointing this out to the staff we received a little bowl of additional seafood and all of us including our 9 month old baby left the restaurant hungry. In summary this is normally a great little resort but sadly the current kitchen staff are not performing and the lack of service in the restaurant is reflecting poorly on the resort..…
It has been quite a long while we were not able to come to this lovely boutique resort. Now we are allowed to travel back from Singapore and we always choose La Chevrerie to stay for the weekends, together with the business trips. The 2 goats and 2 dogs are still here. Looks like they still remember us. :). We got the chance to go to an island for a bbq lunch (forgot the island name). Though the sea is bit rough on the way back, we enjoy very much the fun talk with the resort owner Carmen, and with the boatmen. The staff are the same we knew 3 years ago. Feeling warm.
My girlfriend and I usually did day trips in Anilao. This time my Taiwanese friends recommended us to stay overnight in this lovely resort. Although the weather is not that good because of the storm near Manila, we still enjoy the stay. The resort is located right next to the sea and there are many coconut trees here. We hope to come back again where we can swim in the calm sea!
