We spent a day at Tikal and another hanging around the hotel. As for convenience to Tikal, it's perfect. As a resort destination hotel, it tries hard but set your expectations that it's a rustic hotel in a rustic part of the world. The staff, especially the restaurant manager (Hector), were super attentive and friendly, reheating the entire buffet for...

We stayed here for two nights on a our recent tour of Guatemala and used it as a base to spend a day in Tikal. As others have said the hotel is very isolated. Its down a very rough track off the main road and there is nothing near by ,no shops,no restaurants, no bars so you are really stuck...

We stayed in this hotel as part of a family trip to see Tikal. The hotel itself is fine - clean, properly decorated, decent customer service. Dinner at the hotel restaurant is good, various options and everything we tried was quite good. Breakfast buffet was good but somewhat limited. The rooms are not large but clean and have everything you...

We stayed here one night before moving to La Lancha because La Lancha was booked. This hotel was just ok. It was clean, but small room. We were in very bottom downstairs floor/room so we had to carry all of our luggage downstairs and back up in the morning. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was good. Staff...

Full Marks if you can find this place without a guide . The resort is situated at the end of a long unmade track and is sandwiched between tropical forest and Lake Peten Itza . The views are outstanding and the whole complex is set in stunning well kept grounds . The accommodation is set in a number of colourful...

A beautiful hotel but a little isolated. No walking trails or any activities within the hotel grounds so after you've seen Tikal there's not much to do except pool or beach— though they do have kayaks to take out. We ended up taking a very strenuous 2 hour climb through the "bio-trop" with a security guard who didn't speak any...

A modern and spacious room with fridge, safe and good aircon. Dimly lit and no individual bedside lights. Big shower but no hot water. Good selection for breakfast includes hot buffet of local grub plus eggs cooked to order. Annoying xylophone musak in restaurant. Evening meal menu is quite extensive and includes several fish dishes. Mrs B's three small pieces...

The resort was clean, family friendly, and very relaxing. Beautiful views from every location, from the jungle to the waterfront. Food was very good from breakfast to dinner. The pool was meticulously cleaned daily along with the rest of the property. Our only complaint was that we didn't book a longer stay.

The staff was great. We were greeted with a cold glass of rosa de Jamaica and a cold towel. The place has kayaks available and is located next to beautiful lake Peten Itza. located 30 minutes away from tikal. My favorite part was the Maayan saunas.

We stayed for 3 nights this month as part of a trip round Guatemala. I have to say that the service is excellent. The hotel was quite empty when we stayed ( even though I believe it's the height of the season) Unfortunately the hotel is a little too functional and a bit dated, lacking in aesthetic appeal The rooms...
