I made a reservation for two rooms, and due to covid situation in France and OMS advise to avoid travelling (people over 65 years) we decided to cancel. We still have 20 days to our trip and the responsible was that it's not possible to cancel. And she complemented saying that if she has to work why we shouldnt have to pay. Sunelia support is null! Cancelation policy that they talk about in their FAQ only comprises death or serious illness. Which is not the case. Simply RIDICULOUS!!! Defintely don't recommend sunelia campings!!! Ah by the way, they claim to be a 5 start!!!
Great camping with verry nice staf they are verry helpfull. Al accomodations are verry spacious and are with all options. There is enough to do in the area and on the campground. The restaurant offers verry nice food and wine.
In terms of the other reviews on here, I agree; that the pitches are quite close together and with a large tent you would be better to email after booking to request one of the larger sites so that your tent and car will fit on. However, we have a medium tent (6 man with no extra front porch) and we managed on a smallish site to fit the tent, our car and our camping bench outside. We stayed for 9 nights in total (July '15) and during the good weather made full use of the lovely swimming pool and the poolside bar facilities (slide is a bit of a let-down - its not steep and therefore the kids struggled to get down without getting stuck!). We got 3 days of bad weather being that it's up in the mountains, so be prepared for the whole campsite to up-sticks and move on when that happens! We left a night early in the end, and they didn't charge us for it despite it being last minute. The WIFI is EXPENSIVE - 18Euro for 4 days, but in saying that it's fast and reliable when you do have it. Free WIFI in the restaurant area for 30 mins each day if you refer not to pay for it. Our son is 6 and loved the kids club - runs every morning from 10am-12 (sports) and then again from 2.30pm-4.30pm (crafts); the animatrice who looks after the 5-8 year olds doesn't speak English but the other with the 3-5 year olds does. They muddle through though especially as there's a tonne of Dutch people on site and those kids usually speak good English. Lots of French holiday here too so there's a lot of French also spoken on site which is good to know - we were the only English speakers for the guts of the trip! :) The website goes on about the kids getting some farmers diploma after a week at kids club - not true, they cisit a farm 1 evening for a couple of hours but that's the extent of that. I've emailed to ask them to remove that little white lie! Overall its a lovely campsite; it is a bit noisy since the pitches are close together but in general most campers respect the camping etiquette of keeping quiet after 11pm. I'd prefer the campsite to enforce a rule for people to quieten down after 10.30pm especially for those with small children. Slightly expensive for what you get, but comfortable and safe for kids so I guess that's what you pay for.…
From their brochure and website I expected a lot , and was very very disappointed. The pitches were very close together , we had people so close to us I am sure I could have passed them breakfast through our windo to their table, plus tens were pitche directly behind us, with people crossing through to the road to get to the facilities block. Block was kept very clean , but only 4 toilets for a very large site , meant queues. Receptionists were quite abrupt and not helpful. Having said all that , has a massage in the spa and that was amazing if a little expensive. Restaurant food was good but again slightly expensive. No supermarket or petrol in the village, and be very careful you don't miss the turning into the site from the main road as its a long way along the road till you can turn around . Had much better stays in much cheaper places this holiday .…
Pitches tiny and of poor quality, far too many are squeezed on to site. Absolutely no privacy or attention to safety. We were within 4-5 meters of four other camping cars/caravans. Our electric hook-up cable only just reached power point and is 15 meters. Two other pitches had to drive over this to reach their own pitch. Pool OK but no shelf to leave shoes so just lie around on path outside.Loos and showers etc clean and new but wash up area appallingly bad design. We had planned to stay for 7 nights but left after 1 night. Clearly the five star rating takes no account of pitch quality as any 2 star camping municipal would be way better than this site for pitches. Also there is some road noise from main road which is more noticeable at night
Lovely campsite, with a luxurious cabin and deck, and loads of space at this time of year (October) Reception staff very friendly and welcoming ,but also good at leaving you alone if you don't need them. Enjoyed exploring the local area eg Belfort, Colmar la Route des Vins and La Route des Cretes. Only downsides are you end up going either over the Col be Bussang or towards Le Thillot so you tend to cover the same ground for several miles on leaving the site. Excellent local shops including a boulangerie which stays open until 7.30 pm even on Sundays. Even with mixed weather (only to be expected in early October) we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would heartily recommend the site to others.
Daughter walked into planted steak knife on site. Owner said to take responsibility, but turned into agressive and non cooperating person. Bad wifi, only boiling hot or super cold water in shower, broken wood on playground, bad mini club and not very good food in restaurant.
