A pleasant setting, nice outdoor area, but 1hour is along time to wait for 1 pie and chips and 1 scampi and chips. When it did finally arrive I couldn't complain about the food - perfectly acceptable pub grub.

I have been here a few times before and never had any problems, lovely beer garden in a nice location. Maybe good for food on a quieter evening but clearly on a busy evening they cant cope. First of all we ordered our drinks and were greeted by a miserable and unfriendly member of bar staff with a face like... More

This was our fourth weekend at one of the Marstons’s Inns. When I booked it it was the last room which turned out to be a twin on the ground floor overlooking the car park. The room itself was very spacious and was designed for the disabled with a large bathroom/ toilet having the usual handles etc to assist a... More

Stayed the night on 18 July 2016 while travelling home from a few days in Yorkshire. On arrival staff very welcoming. Room (No 3) very clean, well decorated, light and airy. The twin beds were very comfortable. Room even had an electric fan which was excellent as it was a very warm night. Breakfast in the morning was good, well... More

Disappointing service as some meals didn't arrive as requested. Waited over an hour for food to be served, which would be understandable if the venue had been busy (it wasn't) Food was tasty, everyone enjoyed their meal.

Called in today for a spur of the moment lunch. I must say that we were pleasantly surprised. A lovely afternoon in a lovely location by the river. Both my scampi and my better halves!!!! steak were very enjoyable. The staff were polite and we received excellent service especially from the girl who brought out our food. I believe her... More

Lovely pub with garden and patio backing onto river. Food was good, plenty of choice. Although there were only 2 choices of toppings for jacket potatoes. Unfortunate because both my friend and myself were wanting but were not tempted because of limited fillings. We ended up ordering a larger main meal, double the price but very tasty and served in...
