Detailed Reviews
Thank you to the lovely hosts for making our anniversary weekend so special!
The location is magnificent with mountains all around, we especially enjoyed looking at the view of the sun on mountains from the jacuzzi.
Our room 'Pibeste' was large, comfortable and very clean.
The breakfast was copious and delicious with local specialities and classics like croissants etc. We didn't need lunch after such a filling and leisurely breakfast.
A highlight for us was the cosy, converted mill, where I had one of the best massages of my life.
The hosts are attentive, kind, funny and made us feel right at home.
Thank you again and I'm sure we'll be back soon as there's still plenty we'd like to see of the region.

There really is nothing that can be improved here. Valerie and Emmanuelle are professional and have created with this property and their way of looking after guests a wonderful holiday spot where we felt comfortable at all times.
The rooms (there is also an apartment) are spacious and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is rich with different types of bread, different croissants, partially sliced fruit (melons, pineapple, mango etc.), cheese and sausage plates, different yogurts, if necessary omelette, scrambled eggs etc., different sweets/cakes, crepes, various kinds of cakes. Cereal etc. Special requests (e.g. vegan cakes, vegan crepes) are gladly addressed. The eggs come from their own farm.
For general use there is a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a games room with billiards, darts, table football and various board games. In the kitchen, for example, we warmed up the treats (chacuterie) purchased at the beautiful market in Argeles-Gazost.
In the outdoor area, in addition to the pool, there is a hot tub and a sauna, which you can operate yourself at your convenience.
So if the weather doesn't fit, there are still many opportunities to do some indoor activity. Children will surely also enjoy the couple's two playful dogs or the sheep living in one area with the chickens.
They are happy to give tips on Things to do and restaurants at any time and (if necessary) also help with bookings.
Argeles-Gazost is the ideal starting point for detours to the various valleys (e.g. Lac de Gaube, Spanish bridge, Cirque de Gavarnie with Europe's largest waterfall, Pic du Medi or for rafting, canyoning, via ferrata etc.) or even to Pau. We were very satisfied with our choice of location in this respect as well.
Conclusion: an all-round great place to experience a wonderful holiday, which is looked after by an uncomplicated and incredibly sympathetic couple

In a beautiful flowery place, very well maintained, quiet and surrounded by mountains, we spent an extraordinary week as a family. (19 people, young and old). You feel good there and rest is guaranteed.
The owners Manu and Valérie are very welcoming, available, discreet, and very attentive to our needs.
The SPA area is magical with its little mill, and the treatments provided by Marie-Claire are exceptional.
We can only highly recommend your Monda estate.
We have adored.
Martine, Gérard, and our whole little family.

We cannot recommend this property and if you are English and planning to book during this pandemic please do not bother.
We made our booking direct with Emmanuel ( we always prefer to, as we know it saves the owners money) due to the last amber alert with our goverment we had to concel/amend all our bookings in France and Domaine De Monda were the only ones we had issues with.
We contacted them outside their cancellation period ( 10 days before our arrival, their cancellation policy is within 12 days ) but Emmanuel said if he managed to re-sell the rooms we could have a refund on our deposit.
Emmanuel managed to sell the rooms 2 nights out of the 3 night stay and refused to offer us a refund on our deposit for the 2 nights he re-sold, not once in any email did Emmanual say he would have to re-sell the full 3 nights, he did offer us to stay next year and put our deposit towards this but we have no intention of staying at this property now, which is such a shame as we travel to France numerous times a year for cycling holidays.
We fully intended to have a half board holiday with you, sometimes you need to be flexible and understanding of your customers. We have just put this down to a bad experience.

Response from emmanuel carlier, Propriétaire at Domaine de Monda
Responded Oct 18, 2023

We went to visit the site for friends looking to rent in the corner of Argelès-Gazost. Very nice surprise and big crush for this little piece of paradise 🤩. From decoration to layout, everything is a delight... Strong friendly and accommodating owners. Our friends gave us the best feedback. And will definitely come back 😊
