Can't fault this place. The house is a work of art, the service, food and attention to detail second to none and the location is stunning. If you're travelling north or south it's the perfect stop over. Don't miss it.

My family rented a manor in Dordogne and en route to Paris we planned a two night stop over in the Samur area. We reserved all five rooms so we had the place to ourselves. Every room was more beautiful than the next and the gardens and views were spectacular. But the best was meeting Muriel, the owner. French but...

My husband and I stayed at this B&B for 2 nights this summer. We arrived horribly late, but were still welcomed by Muriel with smiles and a warm attitude (not always the case in France). Our room, and the hotel in general, is very nicely redone with period decor. The gardens are seriously unreal and the view has got to...

We stopped overnight travelling from La Rochelle to Paris, but wished we had stayed longer. This is a wonderful old house with stone spiral staircase, lovingly furnished in French Maison style. Muriel's welcome was warm and helpful, her recommendtions for dinner included a regular mediavel banquet in the village - a great communal feast. Delicious breakfast, tea in the pretty...

“The large apartment would be great for those staying for longer periods of time as you have your own kitchen to cook and store food. We stayed in the "pink" room, which faced the street side, but we didn't mind as it was very comfortable. The noise from the street is practically non-existent, so we had our windows open all night.”
