We stayed here just for a night when we first came to Peniche. Turning up we had no idea what to expect as it was done on a recommendation. It's certainly got its rustic charm and finding out more, kids come here to learn how to ride horses. It's used a lot by other Portuguese couples/families which we always think...

We were a group of friends with small children being the youngest 4 years old. The place is relaxing and safe for them to play around. With a mini golf course and 2 swimming pools. In the evening a very calm lounge with TV, several games to chill out and bar for drinks. The employees were superb, very friendly. I...

The hotel "A Coutada" is situated only 6km from Peniche, and 5km from the beach of Balleal. It is also a well situated base camp for short trips to Peniche and Obidos ofcourse, but also Nazaré, Tomar and even Lisboa (80km). The center of the village "Atouguia da Baleia" offers some small, but typical cafés on the square in front...

Firts of all, i have to say that the staff did everything to make our stay here, as confortable as possible, but.. There's always a but :-) the hotel looks like it's frozen in time, in the mid 80's, the decoration is outdated, even the scent in the air is somewhat of aging materials. The rooms are old and could...

Our experience was very pleasant, we went in the low season, so it was very quiet. The staff offered to light up the fireplace and put on a movie, so we had a private cinema with the cozy light and sound from the fire. In the morning we played mini golf after a good night sleep in the colonial style...

We stayed a week, the hotel is not new but is OK. The staff were very gentile, we add some different requests that where made with sympathy. Nice breakfast. The hotel have many activities, the outside is a nice place, very good option for a young group. Should be more clean, at the second night I was surprised by a...

Please do not be seduced by the photographs of this place. In reality it is shabby and charmless, not much better than a hostel. Our terrace had two old plastic chairs on it - no table - which hadn't been cleaned for months and were covered in bird droppings. The outside walls are black with mould and covered with lichen....
