had a family suite with seperate child room; lot's of space there and nice terrace; staff is superfriendly and helpful, and the whole Wellness area is outstanding; location is perfect for little hikes with little kids, while on site there are no facilities for littel kids (pool are, playground and such); but anyhow, that place is supposed to enjoy nature; FOOD is fantastic

Various members of our family and ourselves have been coming here since almost the beginning as my husband was born in the area. Every visit this hotel just gets better and better. This visit we stayed in the new garden suites. Absolutely stunning. Spotlessly clean, modern, hugely spacious with enormous terrace which overlooks the hills and the cows grazing. The new infinity pool is incredible. Loved spending time in the quiet rooms too. The service is fabulous and always so nice to see some familiar faces each visit. The food is extremely generous with an amazing choice each day. Yes, most of the guests are German speaking but it’s no problem if you don’t speak German as menus can be in English too. Team Pierer you have done an outstanding job building your brand. It’s always fabulous to return and see you all again. Until next time. Thank you.

Very nice and very clean Styrian hotel. Our room smelled nice on natural wood and it was very bright and clean. Hotel stuff was friendly and helpful. Food was great. They get regional products from Farmers and you can see difference. Meet was perfect. Wellness was not huge but they are building new areas. Also clean. All day tee and fresh apples! I had great birthday here. Suppressing dinner with small book gift from hotel & piece of chocolate cake. Thank you.

The spa is really nice, there are a lot of different saunas and a comfortable relaxing room with music. The food is really good and the waitresses are nice too. The buffet offers a lot of different things, and everybody will find something to eat there. The bed in the room is quiet comfortable, the only thing I didn’t like about the room was, that there was no real door for the toiletroom. Only a „Glasdoor“. I would really recommend this spa hotel!

Deluxe suite :- Nicely appointed with pleasant views of the forest and hills. Capsule coffee maker and kettle (on request) provided. Lots of comfy seating. Smaller TV than we expected, mounted at an awkward viewing height on the wall. Large balcony. Bathroom :- Huge with freestanding bath, separate shower and infra red cabin. Lighting a little dim though, and clear windows into the bedroom are not to everyone's taste, but they do let more light in I suppose... Housekeeping :- To a very high standard but a shame they ignored the 'do not disturb' sign on the door one day while we were having breakfast. They made up the room and removed a map, guide book and soft drink bottle we had left on the floor near the door so as not to forget to take them out with us later. We found the housekeeper and got the map and book back though. I can only imagine they were expecting lots of guest changeovers that day and were in a rush to clean rooms. Breakfast :- Excellent choice but omelettes were of variable quality. Dinner :- Six courses on half board with plenty of choice. Menu in English available. No complaints, but nothing particularly special either. Wellness :- Indoor and outdoor pools and loads of saunas and steam-rooms etc. Did not use them, but they seemed popular with plenty of other guests. Waiting staff and front desk :- Just a handful of staff made an admirable effort to speak some English, just as we try and speak a bit of German, but there were notable exceptions who could not even manage to try simple words like tea or coffee. Not good for a high end hotel with an international clientele. Verdict? A fine hotel in a beautiful location that nearly manages to justify its high prices. Very much recommended nevertheless.

My husband and I spent a long weekend before christmas at this fabulous hotel. The recently renovated rooms are spacious and comfortable. The restaurant offers very good food using ingredients from local suppliers. The spa is modern and clean, however it can be quite crowded on popular holidays. The area around the hotel is wonderful and suitable for walks with children of all ages.

So, this must be our 6th stay as between March 2015 and January 2016 we stayed a few days in September 2016 also. This time we were able to bring our family with us as well. (Son, daughter and son's fiancé). We had three of the new rooms right next to each other. As usual, nothing ever disappoints. Peaceful, immaculately clean, comfortable, amazing food and service and of course the warm welcome received by the Family Pierer and their wonderful team. As some of the family don't speak particularly good German, the menus were always presented to them in English and staff spoke good English as well. The wines from the Pierer's own vineyard are spectacular and a particular mention must go the Felix, the barman, who looked after us so well with a great sense of humour. We're always sad when we leave but then again we're always planning when we can return. So for people who are looking for something special, off the typical Austrian 'tourist trail' you will find nothing better!
