After living for six weeks in Labuan Bajo, a super crowded, loud, dirty city that serves as the gateway to the Komodo Islands, coming to Munduk Menir was an incredible breath of fresh air. It's set way up in the hills, so the views from our little villas and the rest of the property are green and lush and stunning. The villas are cute, comfy, and well-appointed, with nice beds and showers. The infinity pool seems like it was made for Instagram -- it's just so pretty. Might recommend heating it though as the water was ice cold. They also set up local tours; we did the six-hour trek and one of the lake canoe trips. Both were really well done, and the prices are quite reasonable. Would have liked better food; it was often cold (especially the breakfast by room service) and just wasn't that tasty (why bread a fried springroll??). If the food were a bit better, would definitely have given 5 stars.

We liked the villas very much much. They were clean, big, beautiful,... But around 4 the clouds are coming in and we were really cold in the evening and in the morning. The pool was too cold to swim and that is really pitty because we came for the pool. It was a bit isolated so if you don't ride the scooter you have to stay. We enjoyed the hiking very much!!! The restaurant was good.

The chalet style villas were stunning with beautiful. uninterrupted views over the mountains. The infinity pool was spotlessly clean, although somewhat cold. The staff were excellent and could not do enough for you, when they made up your room each day they would make origami figures out of the towels and then place them on your bed all these little touches were perfect. Great spa, my husband and I both had a foot massage - bliss!!!! The food was absolutely delicious and most of the produce were grown on site so you could not get any fresher. Perfect location if you want to do some trekking and for visiting the numerous waterfalls in the area.

After a trip advisor search for accommodation in the Munduk area this happened to be the first one I opened and decided from the excellent reviews that we must see it. It didn’t disappoint. Wow! The view was breathtakingly beautiful. Even our driver from our prior accommodation was in awe. Facing the west coast we sat and watched the clouds roll in over the mountains with the landscape ever changing. One minute we were sat in the clouds and the next we could see all the way to Pemuteran. We were told on a really clear day you can see to Java and the sunsets are magnificent. The second day we organised a 6 hour trek which took us around the mountains of Munduk leaving directly from Menir Villas. We trekked through coffee and clove plantations and Rice fields and then trekked to the Labuhan Kebo Waterfall and the Munduk waterfall. Although not an easy trek as the paths were narrow and slippery due to rains. We had an amazing and unforgettable time. Our guide Arik was fabulous and very knowledgeable about all the plants and trees growing in the Forrest. All the staff at the villas are extremely friendly and attentive and the food is delicious at decent prices. We would definitely recommend Munduk Menir Villas and hope to come back again one day.
