We spent 3 nights at Posada del Cafe. It is one of the most beautyful things on a trip to find a place where you feel at home. Maria Elena, the owner of Posada del Cafe is a very friendly and helpful person. The rooms of her traditional house are simple and clean. The patio with flowers and hummingbirds is...

We spent 6 nights at Posada del Cafe and what a wonderful time we had. The Posada is amazingly clean, breakfast was yummy and the verandah around the garden where you could sit and truly relax was so comfortable. Marie Helena is the most amazing host and couldn't have done more for us. Thank you so much for making our...

The highlight of this posada is the garden with hummingbirds and beautiful flowers, the breakfast, and especially Maria Elena, the owner. She will give you a true taste of local hospitality and Paisa personality, very cordial and interested in conversing. Hummingbirds are numerous, and we saw a barranquero, or Andean motmot in the garden. Out the front door to the...

We visited this posada during our roundtrip of Colombia with our three children aged 7, 5 and 3. The posada is centrally located on what looks like the main street of Salento. Across the street there is a really tiny coffee bar where they serve a pretty good espresso for example. The street has all kinds of bars, restaurants and...

The posada is located in the middle of Salento. Step out the front door and you are in the main street of the town. The staff is very, very friendly and keep the hotel in very good shape. It is very clean and lovely decorated. On the downside, the rooms are tiny. There are no glass windows but wooden shutters...

Real old style house set in a lovely tranquil garden away from the hubub of the main street. The owner is so friendly and helpful from inital contact by email and throughout our visit with recommendatons about places to visit and restaurants. As we visited over Easter the owner warned us it would be busy and noisy even recommending we...

The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. She always had great restaurant suggestions, and helped us plan tours and travel. Beautiful center garden. Rooms are a bit tired as are the mattresses. We were there during holidays and street parties could be heard loudly in our room. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Hotel reviews should be, first and foremost, about the room and facilities. People who work in the hospitality business are supposed to be pleasant and helpful to the people who are paying for their services. We had room #3 in Posada del Café and the room is not fit to be used as a guest room. To say the room...

The owner goes above and beyond to ensure you have a relaxing/enjoyable time! On the main strip in Salento and near great restaurants and shops. The room was comfortable and the garden lovely. A great place to stay while in Salento!
