We spent a night here over the Easter holiday while attending a concert locally. Unfortunately the dining room hours coincided with the concert, so we had supper in the pub across the street. Breakfast was very good. It's an old building so there are stairs and thin walls, but the bathroom was immaculately clean and it was a pleasant overnight...

A lovely one night stay. Booked the DBB rate which was excellent value especially as we were upgraded to a superior room on arrival. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. The restaurant was intimate perfect for a special occasion meal. Food choice and quality first class. A very pleasant experience.

This is a restaurant with rooms, but together it makes a comfortable boutique hotel, and we had a good weekend together as a group of ex-school friends. Staff were very helpful; bedrooms were cosy, clean, and modern, and the breakfast and dinner were excellent. Parking a bit cramped, but a public carpark adjoins the back of the hotel, and is...

We eat out quite a lot and are quite particular about the quality of what is served but I really just could not find even the smallest criticism....

We visited for 2 nights midweek. The standard and superior rooms were both good and the staff were incredibly helpful. A very cosy bar and a quieter sitting room area. The highlight undoubtedly though were the meals. We ate dinner twice, once with guests, and couldn't fault it. Great tastes combined imaginatively... who'd have thought pork and puréed black pudding...

A two night stay whilst researching ancestry in the area, and a great find. The lake Isle is welcoming, small enough to have an individual feel and to have a terrific atmosphere, and calls itself a 'restaurant with rooms' - although there are plenty of rooms - almost thirty. Our room, up on the second floor was reached via a...

It’s what you call a hidden gem so it’s perfect peace and quiet after a busy day. All the rooms are beautifully presented and...
