We spent two nights in the lark cottage. Nice size but not enough sofa space for 4 as advertised. Kitchen was well equipped and the welcome pack (wine, bread, biscuits and milk) were all welcomed. The two single beds were very uncomfortable and squeaked at every opportunity. The shower in the twin room was awfull like being dribbled on and... More

Having been recommended Champernhayes through a friend, my partner and I decided to go for a weekend break to Dorset to relax and enjoy the beach. Champernhayes is situated looking out at both the sea and a valley and couldn't be more idyllic. We stayed in Blackbird, which can hold up to 6 people. There is a huge open planning... More

This is the first time we have stayed at Champernhayes and certainly won't be our last! We stayed in the Farmhouse, which is a spectacular 15th Century house with all the mod cons you need, with great attention to detail and decor. The owners have struck a good balance between the historic nature of the property with modern facilities and... More

We returned to the barn for a second stay, for a regular family gathering. It is starting to become a second home much to the delight of everyone who stays with us. The Barn manages to have a combination of being airy and light and yet warm and cozy especially at night. The views of the valley are stunning and... More

We stayed here with a 3&4yr old and had a lovely time. The cottage wS quaint but perfect for us, especially as was more of a base. Very nicely set up and well equipped, the welcome gifts are a lovely touch too. The small pool was great to burn off some if the kids energy and if the weather was... More

Blackbird Cottage is a very tranquil little cottage amongst green winding hills and set alongside a lovely Barn, Farmhouse and several other cottages. The cottage is just as photographed on the website and is very well equipped. Cleaning products, dish cloths, tea towels and towels were all provided along with a complimentary welcome hamper of bread, biscuits and a two... More

We stayed for 5 days in Blackbird Cottage, there was 5 of us plus our dog. The cottage was clean and very well laid out with each of the 3 bedrooms having an en suite bathroom with towels and a selection of shower gels/shampoos. The kitchen had a dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, hob, fridge and microwave along with a great... More

Back from Sydney for a large family reunion at Christmas, so it was important we found high standard accommodation where we all were able to have fun together, but also space. There were 16 of us, four generations and an age span of 87 to 6 weeks! We rented two cottages which worked well, eating together was interesting, chaotic, but... More
