We stayed two nights at the Sembrador after having booked it on-line. Having never stayed in Guasave before I was pleasently surprised to find a neat clean town with plenty of trees and clean, wide streets.
The Sembrador Hotel is supposedly the best hotel in town but I found that although the staff is courteous and the rooms are clean, the condition of the building and the maintainence inside the hotel rooms themselves is "average" at best. The first room we were given had broken window shades and windows that hadn't been cleaned on the outside in months. The bed was billed at the desk as being queen size but it was not. We requested a different room and that was provided with no problem. The second room had some small maintenence issues as well but was acceptable,
The Hotel itself is older (probably built in the late 70's) and is approaching a point where it will need major work soon. (Especially if maintenence is not improved upon)
