Me and a friend stayed 2 nights for a mini break. When checking in for a twin room we were given a double room but Tom changed this to a twin room seaview. This was looking out to the car park and u could see a bit of the sea! The room was nice though. On the Monday morning we were woken at 5am by a lady talking quite loud. After about 10 mins an ambulance arrived for her. She didn’t seem to care less that other people were staying at the hotel and what time it was. After the ambulance had been she was shouting that she hadn’t receive a report. She had then obviously locked herself out as she was shouting to a Dennis to let her in. He took no notice as this continued for a while. There were no staff around to open the front door for her. We spoke to Tom before 10am and asked if she would be staying another night and at that point another ambulance turned up for her. When we arrived back at the hotel around 5pm we tried to enquire about the lady but we were told she had left and that was it. The breakfast on the Monday morning was lovely but Tuesday was awful. My friend ordered a vegetarian breakfast with poached egg and I ordered a full English also with poached egg. My friends was cold and not very nice along with the rest of the breakfast. Mine wasn’t great either so we told a couple of members of staff who did apologise and gave us another breakfast. However the 2nd breakfast was probably the worst breakfast I have ever had staying in a hotel. Bacon and sausage again not cooked, egg was awful, mushrooms burnt and only a small portion of baked beans. I didn’t eat hardly any of it just the toast. Staff were very apologetic and said it was a different chef. When checking out we gave this feedback and didn’t really receive any apology just it’s a different and young chef who will have to learn! Overall the staff at breakfast and Tom were very helpful but a real shame the lady woke us up very early and the breakfast was awful on the 2nd day!

Another great stay at the Beachcroft. It's rare to find such a comfortable bed in a hotel! Special thanks to Lucas, Andre, Ash and Philip. Credit to everyone for the Covid safety measures which are rigorous yet do not impact on the guests' convenience.

I stayed at one of their incredible Beach Huts on Monday. The Beach Hut itself was spotless, you could tell it had been cleaned perfectly and even had a welcome package in the fridge for us to start of our stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming and it made us feel right at home. We managed to find a slot for the swimming pool which was amazing. The room was heated and the pool was the perfect temperature, its a shame we couldn't have had it for longer. Dinner time came which we booked for 7.... and let me tell you about the food.... the food was delicious and well worth the price that you pay for it. The steak was cooked to perfection and the soup of the day was to die for. For me particulalry breakfast was the best part. we had crossiants freshly delivered to our beach hut and they were still warm and soft so you can tell they bake them straight from the oven and are not just from a packet. Lastly, I want to mention the view.... the view... THE VIEW was perfect. nothing better in this world than seeing the sun rise straight from your room overlooking the beach, it just made a perfect stay have that cherry on the top feeling. Would definetaly reccommend staying here to everybody that wants an amazing, friendly and perfect stay.

There were six in our party when we stayed at the Beachcroft for a long weekend in July 2020. We were warmly welcomed to the hotel by manager Phillip, who explained all the safeguards that the hotel had put in place to protect us from Covid-19. There were hand sanitisers freely available, and the reception and dining areas were obviously clean and hygienic. Staff wore masks and gloves at all times, and a one-way system had been put in place in the dining areas. Our rooms were clean, with a well equipped bathroom with a full sized bath and fully supplied with tea and coffee making supplies, bottled water and snacks. The bed was wide and super soft, just as we like it. Being on the second floor, we had a wonderful view of the beach, and the promenade, popular with runners and dog owners. Throughout the time we stayed, we felt that the Beachcroft team had put our welfare and safety at the highest priority, so that we felt totally safe and cared for during our stay (Two of our party are in their late seventies) We should also like to mention Lucas, and Andre for their unfailing efforts to make us feel comfortable and welcome, and Ash, who cheerfully took our complicated requests for our breakfasts. Well done Beachcroft!

We had a three night stay in the Penthouse (which is amazing) with daughter, son-in-law and grandson. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, all covid safety measures strictly adhered to, without being intrusive, one-way system and lots of hand sanitiser about. The staff were so helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable. The food in the restaurant was lovely and always piping hot. The pool was open for half hour bookable sessions and was great. Lovely garden to sit in overlooking the beach and plenty of parking immediately outside the hotel. Would highly recommend.
