We just returned from a visit to Puglia. We stayed both in the Borgo Egnazia and here at the Torre Maizza. Torre Maizza is fantastic, its a beautiful property with lots of personality, we much preferred it to Borgo Egnazia. The rooms are furnished beautifully & comfortably with all amenities. The restaurant serves refined Puglian cusine in a beautiful, romantic setting. Carmello in the bar who plays the piano and sings is an absolute hoot! All the staff are very attentive and extremely pleasant. The pool area is quiet and relaxing and very pretty . It has a wood fired pizza oven that makes amazing pizzas for lunch. The beach club is a short drive away, you don't have to wait on a shuttle, the hotel will take you there whenever you please. Its a beautiful sandy beach with clear blue/green water. The hotel provides a complimentary boat trip to residents, on the morning we went my husband & I were the only two who had chosen to go that day, so had the boat to ourselves! It was a super trip along the coast stopping to swim in the sea, extremely relaxing and back by lunchtime. Really we cannot fault this hotel, it is so charming and we will absolutely return.

This is our 3rd trip to Puglia, Italy with each trip more exciting and thrilling than the next. We loved our stay at the Masseria Torre Maizza. From the moment we exchanged emails about our booking I knew we made a great choice. This is beautiful area in Puglia; olive trees everywhere, farms, beach and fragrant winds all added up to a relaxing vacation. Be sure to chose the breakfast option as you will love starting your day in their dinning room. They have a large pool with plenty of spaces to lounge, along with a small spa, golf and a short drive to the beach. At the beach you'll find chairs, umbrellas, and an incredible beachside restaurant.

Gorgeous newly decorated hotel managed by Rocco Forte Group. Great food - fantastic staff. A special mention to the F&B team who were excellent. Carmelo was the inhouse pianist and great fun! (He has an FB/Insta padellarocarmelo). TripAdvisor does not allow links. Our room was very spacious. Grounds are lovely. Poolside and restaurant - super relaxing space to chill out. Definitely worth a visit. For Puglia, recommend you hire a car to visit the sites - Lecce is a nice historic old town worth seeing. We also visited Ostuni but felt a little too touristy for our liking.

We stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe room with terrace and garden. The room had a large sitting area and nice patio. Well stocked minibar, nice linens, large closet and nice bathroom with dual vanities. There are about 40 rooms, so it is a relatively small hotel. For a small hotel, it offers many amenities (9 hole executive golf course, spa, large pool area, fitness center, etc). Everyone from the front desk to the valets to the restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. We borrowed the hotel bikes to ride down to the beach club for the day. The hotel offers to pick you up if you don’t want to ride back, but we chose to ride into Savelletri and back to the hotel. Not much to see in savelletri, so we could have skipped that part. It’s a nice ride through some old olive groves—there’s a fair amount of car traffic (even on what they call bike paths) so make sure you’re comfortable with that before heading out. The beach club offers a dedicated area for hotel guests and the umbrella/chairs are complimentary. We chose one of the upgraded seating areas—basically a poster bed with a shade on top. At $80 that was a little steep, but it was more comfortable and we enjoyed the shade. Waiters will come by and take your food/drink orders and it all gets charged to your room. The beach is really pretty in this area. We had dinner one night at the hotel and the food was great. The breakfast is also well done. When we let the front desk know we needed to leave around 6am for our flight, they offered to prepare a breakfast bag for us (yogurt, fruit, water, bread and jam) which was a nice touch. When I walked up to the desk to checkout our folio was waiting for us with the breakfast bag. The hotel recently re-opened as a Rocco Forte hotel. We had never stayed at that brand before and were very impressed with this hotel.
