The guest house is attached to a vineyard and wines served are from the estate. The welcome was wonderful (we were served fresh peach juice on arrival) and the room fitted out to a good standard (with a modern bathroom). Food as others have mentioned is a fixed menu. We were served four wonderful courses of excellent Italian dishes. We...

My wife and I came here on an organised Italian Delights Tour and found a little piece of heaven. The Guest House in set in stunning countryside and the grounds are an arboretum of trees, roses flower beds with a lovely swimming pool. The estate produces its own wines and these are award winning. Hosts Valentina and Luigi are the...

We had a slight difficulty finding the hotel as Monleale is not on the Michelin map, but I had checked the address on the web site before leaving UK. The hotel is about half a mile south of Monleale on the main road. The room was very rustic or as an American friend would say quaint. The food was a...

Our final stop last year August on our honeymoon. Unplanned, just arrived on the door step as we didn't want to go into Madrid. We settled into a nice clean, comfy and pleasant room. Went on the hunt for wine before dinner and weren't disappointed as it was served throughout a fantastic dinner late into the evening. Despite our terrible...

Easy to find from the superstrada. The most wonderful couple owns and runs a meticulous, rustic, gorgeous spot. The wine from their vineyards is some of the best we've ever had and Valentina is a master chef. The pool on hot days is where we 'lived' watching the olive trees sway in the wind.

This is the perfect location if you are looking for a warm and familiar welcome, for a gorgeous and exclusive old country home with the slow and lazy rhythm of relax and the beauty of a sweet countryside. Food is excellent, wine superb, the rooms are cosy and...

Visiting again in October on our way to Tuscany. Arrived just before the storms broke. The room is adequate with an extremely comfortable bed. Dinner as always no choice but beautiful food The pasta dish was sublime and portions not too large to prevent you from eating all 4 courses. Please note that if it is raining you will need...

An elegant, imposing house, full of character and presence; a warm and friendly reception from both staff and the proprietors; rooms that, while perhaps lacking a little character, had every facility one might expect; and a swimming pool in which to relax after a long journey. All these made for an excellent overnight stay, but the meal was quite another...

A particular Piedmontese light greets you as you walk up the drive to Valentina and Luigi's beautiful Ottocento house which has been sensitively added to over the years, passing through the elegant archway and original courtyard to a larger courtyard where you are shown by Rumi or Daniel to your spacious bedroom and adjoining bathroom, all very tastefully decorated and...
