Anzivino is a no frills but welcoming place to stay in Gattinara. Our room was clean, quiet and located over the winery within a locked courtyard. Parking was easy, right outside the gate. Breakfast was ample and the owner/winemaker proudly provided a tour of his wine making facility and offered a tasting. The location is perfect for walks through the town of Gattinara and to the local restaurants as well as short drives to the area wineries and vineyard hills and walking paths. Dinner reservations locally were a must, especially on the weekend.

This is a working winery in Gattinara that has a small number of rooms which are well appointed and provide a comfortable nights stay. I found the proprietor incredibly hospitable, providing an impromptu tasting of many of his wines. Even though this location does not have dedicated parking, there is plenty of street parking in the immediate area, my car was never more than 50 meters from the entrance. The courtyard is an excellent place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and the ambiance of the beautiful courtyard that makes up the winery and agriturismo. As a wine tourist this is an excellent location as you can walk to many of the local wineries tasting rooms which are located within the city. There are also several outstanding restaurants within 500 meters walk of the agriturismo. The combination of comfort, location, hospitality and price make this an excellent value for any wine tourist.

As ugly as the glass fountain in one of the main squares of Gattinara might be as nice is this place. Very limited number of rooms, an owner who is really proud of his winery, the really good wines he produces and nice rooms. Parking might be a bit of problem as you will have to leave your car outside on the road. Let the owner suggest you where to go and have dinner. The place having a very limited number of rooms might require to book well in advance. There is no elevator to access to rooms all located on the first floor over the winery. A gym can be found within a short walking distance. The rooms are heated with a recirculation fan system that someone might find noisy or disturbing. Just heat the room up very well and switch it off until the morning.

Very friendly atmosphere of small Italian town. The site consists of hotel itself and wine-making workshop. The decoration of the rooms is not luxury but very stylish.Mr.Anzivino provided us with guide tour around his wine workshop and cellar.I highly recommend hotel guests to taste vine named Gattinara produced there ( the vine is exported with small lots to abroad even overseas), At the moment after my coming back home I strongly regret I bought tree bottles of wine only. I will purchase much more ones in my next visit.

Gattinara is a village in Piemonte which produces one of the best, but unfortunately lesser known super red wines of Italy, namely Gattinara! There are only a few major producers, of which Anzivino is the youngest one. We also have Nervi , Travaglini and Antoniolo. The former master builder, has, apart from the vineyards, also a hotel on the premises. His wife, Sabrina, speaks very good english and is a tremendous asset on all local things. We stayed in a VERY comfortable room with bed and breakfast and a wine tasting for 75 Euro/ night for two people. Among the services included was Sabrina driving us to an outlying restaurant on the last evening and picking us up later! A fabulous stay in Gattinara and the Anzivino family is a gem!
