Adorable boutique hotel that has thought of every tiny detail.
It is not on the beach (10 minute walk), but it has a gorgeous view of the Aegean from room balconies and poolside . Breakfast buffet is great with lots of options and delicious coffee- you can eat in a beautiful setting of your choice. The room was a nice size and very clean. The tranport from the airport and ferry, Stathis the manager organized, with David the driver was great, and they also helped us rent a car- driving is extremely challenging in Mykonos. The nearby restaurants were excellent L’Aragosta (Italian), Olia (Greek cuisine), Spilia (Seafood with Mykonos party vibe- delicious but very pricey). I recommend this hotel for those who want to visit Mykonos, but want a more relaxing pace than the west side of the island offers. It is about a 20 minute ride to old town and the windmills, but I consider that a plus.
Dear Tracey B, Thank you very much for choosing Anemoessa Boutique Hotel for your stays and for taking the time to share your experience! We are happy to learn that you enjoyed your visit and all the offered services and facilities were to your liking. Your warm input is appreciated and will be gladly communicated to our team. Once again thank you for your loyalty and we do look forward to welcoming you back in the not distant future. Sincere regards, Stathis Tzafleris Hotel Manager

    It is Beautiful!
We so much enjoyed our stay at Anemoessa Hotel/Mykonos. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the surroundings were relaxing a beautiful with ocean views and sunsets visible from our balcony. Everything is painted a clean white color that blends perfectly with the blue ocean and the room was airy and bright. Another bright spot was Natasha, she was so sweet and kind to help us with getting our breakfast each morning. The staff at the reception was also incredibly helpful and kind. We will definately be back!

Ideal location for privacy and tranquility
The hotel is located in Kalafatis which is several kilometers from the hustle and bustle of Mykonos. The hotel is ideally situated for privacy and tranquility. Kalafati beach is nearby, but not within walking distance, which the hotel staff might disagree with this assessment. It is very dangerous to attempt to walk from the hotel to the beach, the mini mart and the Italian restaurant nearby, because the road is narrow and without any sidewalks. Because of the hotel's isolated location from most things, it provides a shuttle for a fee to any location in Mykonos. If you are brave enough, you can walk down the hill to a nearby bus stop, for a ride to Mykonos, which we did on a few ocassions. Hotel guests are provided with breakfast. The rooms are clean and comfortable and not lacking in any modern amenities. Kudos to the reception staff, Christo and Chrisanthi for their professionalism and to the shuttle driver, David. They are a credit to the hotel. Efcharisto.

First of all I would like to say thank you to the manager. He was super nice and made sure we had a great time in Mykonos. The employees were very nice and everything was well organized. The rooms were very clean and smelled amazing! Also the location is amazing. You have a good view of the ocean. The breakfast was delicious. There was always fresh food such as fruit and vegetables and you had the choice between sweet and salty. The pool was pleasant and always clean. We felt at home there and would definitely recommend it!! My family and I will visit you in the future and look forward to seeing you again :)) Best regards Celine

5 Days for a couple in August. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Why? The Rooms were perfect and clean. Restaurant and to be more specific the outdoor restaurant was very romantic with an extremely nice view. But the thing that made this hotel even more unique than it was was the staff. The staff made our experience even better. And to be also more specific i am talking about Mr Tzafleris the manager of the hotel, and the two receptionists Christos and Christina. Professionals but also friendly, kind and helpful during our stay. From my personal standpoint, the manager and the front desk deserves the most credit. Thank you for this amazing experience.

We stayed in Anemoessa for 3 days in mid-September. It is a charming boutique hotel, very clean , with very nice spacious rooms and neat outdoor facilities! We enjoyed our time in the swimming pool and the restaurant, which was delicious! The center is only 20min ride away and the beaches near by are excellent. The hotel is overlooking a quiet bay and we had a stunning view from the balcony! It is a gem, where you can be quiet even in loud Mykonos! The staff is also super-friendly! Stathis, the hotel manager, was always there to take care of us, with his discreet and very friendly approach. Always smiling, he also helped us arrange a car and gave nice recommendations for our island strolls. Mrs Mary, the hotel owner, is a real aristocrat! An architect herself, you can feel her gentle vibe at every corner of the hotel. Thank you for everything! We will definitely visit again!

The whole experience stated from the time of booking. Very accurate, quick and professional behavior. We were all expected the time to visit Mykonos for first time. Anemoessa was a big surprise due to the "family" atmosphere. All staff was very kind, the driver David, receptionists Chris and Christina, waiter Matina, chef John and manager Stathis. The rooms were very clean and have the traditional Cycladic decoration. We tasted lunch and dinner by the pool more than once and specially kids loved the food we were served. These 7 days stay will stay unforgettable experience for us and we will return to relax again. Value for money at Anemoessa and we saw Mykonos crazy prices on other hotels and other restaurants.

This hotel was the best of the three we stayed at during our 12 days in Greece. The staff was incredibly attentive though I don't recall really having any issues. The GM greeted our group as we left and gave us a paperweight (rock) handpainted by one of the owners of the hotel. NIce touch! It's a short walk to a car or scooter rental, pizza restaurant, and quiet beach area. The pool area is large and our room had a large balcony that overlooked the pool and had a beautiful ocean view. I believe all fo the rooms have a view but second floor is best. The breakfasts were expansive and the lady that serviced the area watched us intently and made sure we had what we needed before heading out to the veranda to eat. She didn't speak english but we got by just fine regardless.

No hot water, can not flush toilet paper down toilet so forced to put it in a bag and keep in the room. Not able to drink the water and there is no water available so made to pay every time you want a drink. Manager Mr Tzaflers, constantly pushing taxis belonging to his friends and family onto guests when it’s actually a lot cheaper to rent a car. Service issues at dinner were observed by Mr Tzaflers who chose to ignore and instead continued to drink and dine with his family from adjacent seating area. Nearby beaches are poor and again made to pay outrageous prices for a lounger. Pool is not heated and has very few loungers with very limited shade. Surrounding landscape looks like a waste ground. Yes you can see the sea which is probably the best thing about the place.

***** This review has been reported to TripAdvisor as a fraud / is written by an employee or competitor ***** The person who wrote the review asked the hotel to hire a family member ( can not publish the name of the employee ) who works nearby in a restaurant and searching for extra income. The guest threatened to write a bad review if refused the request ( obviously happened and the hotel reported this review ). Responses of the hotel about the accusations : - there is no info or written anywhere that the hotel has heated swimming pool !!! - in Greece no-one throw the toilet paper in the toilet because it clogs and there is a sign on each bathroom for that in order to avoid doing that - is not confirmed that any employee has or belongs a taxi / Legal procedures already run for clients fake offenses. - All clients are informed on check in that are free to choose on their own the way to move in Mykonos : a) take the bus b) to rent a car c) to take a taxi - the comments for the beaches nearby, the cost of the loungers of the beach bars and the surrounding landscape , they should not be listed and should not affect the rating of the Hotel hospitality and services. - All reviews on TripAdvisor, Google.com etc prove the quality of services and the image of the hotel all these years. ***** This review has been reported to TripAdvisor as a fraud / is written by an employee or competitor *****
