we visited the hotel for a week on the 11th august with my spouse. the girls at the reception desk are helpful and kind , the rooms are big and the hotel is next to the beach. literally you can cross the road and take a dive! clean, neat and tidy, we even got beach towels! the breakfast was very satisfying with a range of food to choose from - fresh fruit salad every morning ,fresh made cake, home made pie and so on. the restaurant is big and it's suitable for all times of the day, we had our every day breakfast there, lunch once and even dinner one night and it was delicious!. everything was perfect!!! the staff of the restaurant is friendly and polite and well mannered and very careful with all the covid restrictions always cleaning and wearing masks. perfect time in chania!
Stayed in a family room adjacent to pool. It was very spacious. location is great. Beach across the street. Town is less than 10min by car. Breakfast was great. a good variety every morning. Everything was fresh and tasted good. Reception staff was attentive and eager to help answer questions. I guess the only negative was the layout of the bathroom/shower/sink. Odd layout which made it a bit difficult to get ready with 4 people in the room. However, it wouldn't deter us from staying here again!
My partner and I were very happy to have spent our holiday in Chánia here and we would like to credit Cristina and Natalie who were very accommodating and helpful with booking local excursions for us! The price for 6 nights stay was extremely affordable and I would have been happy to pay a bit more more due to the quality of service and cleanliness. Forum suites has a relaxed Mediterranean feel (the lobby in particular had a nice atmosphere and setting) and the rooms were minimalistic but equally functional - to name a few we had towels and toiletries, a plug in hob, kitchenware, Netflix on the telly and even a money safe. We would have liked an ironing board and a microwave but we really couldn’t complain as we had a lot of things to get us by. The breakfast was also really nice, we loved the fact that it was a buffet so you could practically fill yourself up to your heart’s content; the beach was nothing but a 2 minute walk (and forum are happy to provide the towels), lovely clear and warm waters when the pool seemed too small for the regular guest, and a bus which stopped and went just in front of the building, ready to take you to Chánia town and the Old Harbour. If you hired a car for your travels there is also an ALDI just a few minutes’ drive away and surely this would make your days’ stay cheaper as you could make your own food rather than eat in the restaurant. Forum Suites also has a neat mini market in case you ran out of essentials (in our case, toothpaste) and they are happy to put the tab to your room and give you the space to pay whenever. The only thing we didn’t like was the food in the restaurant - I’m sure plenty of people liked the cuisine but I found the fish to not be so fresh, and of course this is disappointing when Chánia is known for its fresh sea food. My partner liked his tuna salad well enough but my octopus was stringy, fell flat in my mouth and just didn’t taste right. We also tried the garlic bread - which ended up burnt, and the baklava which seemed store brought and served past its date. Having said this though, we can’t complain about the service given and the serving size of these meals - they were filling, and evocative of the large meals you’d come to recognise if you were to sojourn and eat anywhere in Greece. We also ran into a slight misunderstanding with one of the receptionists come the end of our trip - after communicating that we were waiting for a hoppa trip, she unknowingly pointed us towards the wrong taxi on our way to departures so we had to fork out an extra €35, but we recognise this was as much our fault and just came as a lesson learned when travelling in a foreign country. We have absolutely no second thoughts in booking with Forum Suites given the opportunity that we travel back to Chánia. It is a fantastic stop and provides a convenient location to any traveller - regardless if you just want to laze under the sun or if you want to use this as a rest stop to travel to the other parts of Crete. We really enjoyed our holiday and Forum was a significant reason why. We give it a 4.5 ⭐️…
We have just returned from a week at this lovely hotel located outside Chania town and opposite the beach. Rooms were clean and modern although as said in many other reviews we found the bathroom too small with no space to put your toiletries. Beds were comfortable but in our suite we slept under the air con unit and the temperature display lit up our bed! Bit of a design fault there! The breakfast choice was a little limited but was only a very small restaurant and the staff were helpful and friendly. The swimming pool area was quiet whilst we were there with plenty of sun loungers, we probably wouldn’t of spent a whole day by the pool but it was inviting after a hot day on the beach. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for its cleanliness throughout, location and friendliness and efficiency of staff. …
I would give this accommodation a 4.5 rating overall. Nice clean modern apartment (252) first floor. Good for late afternoon sunshine on enclosed balcony. A bit of road noise can be experienced. Although apartment very modern its not really well thought out as far as cupboard space and also shelf space in bathroom to put toiletries on etc. Nice big shower. However room air con good with ceiling fan when you want air con off. Comfortable beds with crisp white sheets. Small kitchenette okay for drinks and snacks but not much more. Good fridge. Super room service and housemaid kept room immaculate. Christina in Reception first class in every respect. Nice little mini market facility for the odd thing you may require like water and soft drinks & snacks. Small pool but nice and deep for a swim. Not so good when you have screamers in there disturbing the peace and quiet though. Timing is important regarding its use. Breakfast included which we thought was very good especially having Cappuccino made for you. Good selection of fresh food including fruit, breads, eggs etc. The Breakfast chef Theodore ( English version) was great making the poached eggs to order. Sophia was the smiling waitress with whom we enjoyed every morning breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Bus stop right outside every 15 minutes. Bus tickets 1.20 Euro from Christina. Taxi 7 Euros to Chania Harbour. Good beach 3 minute walk but the road can be a bit busy so you have to be watchful especially when crossing. We had a lovely four night stay and would definitely return if in Chania.…
My wife and I stayed here along with my parents on a recent 4 night trip to the Chania area. Overall, this was a very nice property. Pros and cons are as follows... PROS: - Location - Free breakfast - Free wifi - Modern and clean rooms - Reasonably priced CONS: - Not beachfront (separated by a road) - Road in front of property is quite busy - Bathroom sink could use more counter space for toiletries The breakfast staff in particular are worthy of a recommendation. Sophia took excellent care of us every day... Overall we had a great stay here and would return if coming back to the area. Recommended.
Amazing position, modern, very clean, comfortable location . We received a family apartment (231 )at the ground floor with swimming pool view , two balcony and basic equipment in kitchen, if you want to prepare yourself an extra coffee or a small breakfast. I want to remark pool area even was close to one of the our balcony it was very quiet and clean !!! Trying to see more about Chania, we booked two nights accommodation on Forum Apartments Chania (inside the town, strongly recommend, also) All these arrangements were made with the very professional help and hospitality of Cristina meantime her colleague Marina full of demand , too. Regarding to the breakfast , it was diversified, the time interval (7 -10.30) enough to join all the doptions. The breakfast area could be increased, finally the availability of the tourists made the life easy avoiding crowding and wasting time. The restaurant of the hotel , two times used for lunch ,not very excited, with all the kindness of the staff ... it was little bit outside of the Greek traditional style ... Inside the room very poor wi-fi internet connection ...I don't want to end without mentioning once again Cristina who has contributed fully to the success of our holiday at Forum Suites Hotel !!!…
Very close to the beach and 10 minutes bus ( stop is literally outside the hotel ) from the city center of Chania. It is the perfect location if you want to spend the day swimming and have dinners in Chania. Small park for runners 5 minutes away. The hotel itself is new and well equipped. Breakfast on a terrace facing the beach
Transfer coach pulled up outside a very smart contemporary looking accomodation and restaurant opposite an inviting sea and sand location. We were made immediately welcome by Christina at the modern Reception area and shown to room 248 our immaculate split level accomodation, the family apartment, continuing the modern theme. The small garden view at the back was very pleasant. All areas, very welcome pool and restaurant kept exceptionally clean. Excuse my spelling but have to mention Natalie, Yannis, Georgios, Gilly and Sofia for their very friendly and professional presence. A short bus ride, only 1.20 euro, every 15 mins, takes you to Chania a must visit. Apart from Samaria Gorge walk a very relaxing holiday.
Wonderful stay at Forum suites . Modern, spotless clean little apartments. Well thought out to enable the holiday maker to stay comfortable. Basic equipment in kitchen area allows for cuppas to be made & light lunches suppers prepared if desired. Beds comfy ceiling fan runs smoothly with no noise front & back doors allows air to circulate. Air con unit in apartments too. Pool area spotless. We had breakfast option which was lovely, small selection but still plenty of choice for meat & veggie eaters. Coffee excellent for breakfast. Breakfast staff friendly &helpful, clearing tables & keeping the area clean & well stocked. In the same area they serve lunches & run a restaurant for evening meals (need to book) our group of four ate here one night and although the food was ok , my pork dish was well presented & delicious. Unfortunately the staff where indifferent & non attentive. Such a pity as we waited for over 30 mins after finishing our main meal to be asked if we wanted desserts, coffees, more drinks etc but gave up & got up and walked out! We paid the bill of course on way out but the staff didn't even ask how we enjoyed the meal. We felt ignored as if we had upset the staff somehow, it ruined the evening so we decided not to eat there in the evening again. On balance we would love to holiday at Forum suites again but would think carefully about the restaurant. …
