We have just returned from the Sani resort in Greece, this being our 2nd visit. We previously stayed in Sani Beach but this time stayed in Porto Sani. The resort in general, as everyone can see from the multiple 5 star reviews, is excellent, and Porto Sani is quite simply amazing. The COVID testing on arrival at Sani Beach was done efficiently and while we waited a few minutes for our results, Kostas brought some drinks for us and the children. We waited for around 10 minutes for the results, and then went to Porto Sani to begin our holiday. From the first moment we arrived at Porto Sani reception, the team there were so welcoming to our family it instantly made us feel at home and happy to be there. Every touch point with the staff at Porto Sani was faultless, and they were helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. My daughter was keen to try some water sports whilst there, so we visited the diving centre next to Sani Beach. The lady there, Anna, was extremely helpful to us, and talked us through the various options for my daughter trying scuba diving the first time. She suggested we try a ‘fun dive’ where she would have a taster experience for around 45 minutes. My daughter loved it, and Anna was able to explain everything that would happen and put my daughter (and me) at complete ease. Anna sent me a message each day to say what the conditions were like for diving, and we were able to arrange it within the first few days. Also, my daughter tried water skiiing, run by another separate company on site at Sani. The lady there, Marianna, again was very helpful. She explained what options were available, and put my daughter at ease and was supportive throughout. She messaged us everyday to see when the conditions would be perfect, and again we were able to arrange it within a couple of days. My son also attended the Chelsea Foundation football academy, with training by coach Will, coach Shaun, and Coach Christos. This was yet another highlight of the holiday. The coaching team and the facilities there are world class, and the skills and techniques they show the young players there are coached with such fun that the children all have a wonderful time. This resort is undoubtedly 5 star, we couldn’t recommend it enough. The teams at Sani are first class, and from the initial contact at reception, to having the front of house staff walk out with us when we left and waved to the children in the taxi as we departed, it couldn’t have been more welcoming. We will most certainly be returning, if you haven’t tried the Sani experience yet, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Where do I start!? As a relatively new mum I have had a number of friends visit the infamous Sani and so finally this year, Covid notwithstanding, we decided to take the plunge and discover what all the hype is about... I work in travel and have been lucky enough to stay in a number of fantastic hotels and I can honestly say this one truly one of the best experiences I have *ever* had and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Covid - I’ll put a quick note in about Covid first - simply as at this time it’s hard to ignore it. The hotel handle this absolutely magnificently having mandatory testing on arrival with your results delivered within 15 mins whilst you enjoy a drink and view of the sea. We felt safe and secure and the measures in place are more than enough to make you feel incredibly safe. Our arrival - Since we had Lola we have travelled frequently, but I wouldn’t say we have managed to have a proper ‘holiday’ - Sani delivered this and more. The first thing you notice as you walk in the building (after the truly efficient welcome) is the aesthetic. The property has just been completely renovated - and you can tell. It has a really zen vibe and is incredibly opulent and luxurious. The room - part of why the holiday was so great was our beautiful room. Having a separate living area and bedroom area makes a fundamental difference to your trip when you go on holiday but having one that is quite as beautifully laid out and decorated makes you feel special :) The Bar - beautiful, beautiful Anna - stunning in both personality and every other way. We couldn’t have been better looked after. I loved our daily chats, her friendly approach and care of duty. Just basically a legend!! The restaurant - The food and variety of food across the Dine program was part of what made the holiday stand out. Having 24 restaurants or so to pick from all with OUTSTANDING food makes the experience. The people - I loved everyone at the hotel property but Cristina, no word of a lie, brought me to tears with her kindness. She thought of everything and made an already brilliant holiday, beyond perfect - the people who work at Sani are what makes this experience beyond incredible. Everyone goes out of their way to make your life easy. I never got his name but there is also an incredible waiter in the restaurant who is very tall and an absolute star! I loved going to breakfast in the morning as everyone chatted to me and my little girl and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted and more. The activities - we honestly were exhausted when we came on this trip, it’s been a pretty tough year overall, and we probably didn’t make as much of all the amazing yoga, sports, bikes, tennis and everything else you could do on resort but we explored extensively, took nature walks, hung out at beach bars, ate great food and had just the best time. The weather - We went in October and I had In my mind that was end of season for Greece so we might be unlucky - it was PERFECT. 28 degrees most days. Kids club - Lola has never been a fan of anything like this so we made the assumption we’d be doing the normal tag team effort. However, as Sani creates such a sociability as she saw her ‘friends’ head off for arts and crafts - she actively wanted to go. This is the girl who 8 months prior screamed blue murder when I tried to leave her for 30 mins in a kids club in Antigua. I don’t know what magic you guys worked but she seemed sad to leave each day!! Sign me up for next year please. I have zero doubt we will be back :)

A fourth stay - and third in the last three years. Everything was as fantastic as ever - service, food, accommodation and all of the activities! Particularly brilliant was the scuba diving team - Anna and Marek looked after our 11 and 10 year old as they took their PADI, and Costas and Petros were also great! Chelsea’s academy was fantastic as ever - thanks to Cristos, Lefteris, Will and Shaun - Raphie and Martha loved it!! Noah loved the tennis and coaching on the amazing courts - thanks to Michael, kleanthis and also to Dionisis for all the help! The bikes are brilliant to get around the resort, and to give the kids some freedom to go to and from activities - yannis was brilliant. Maria helped us every morning at breakfast and the service was always perfect even on the mornings when they were busy... can’t fault anything - other than the fact we had to leave! We’ll be back next year!!

Fantastic 2-hour peninsula tour in all its aspects. Starting with warm welcome in super comfortable and spacious Volvo car, our guide and driver Vasilis makes these 2-hour trip filled with so many different interesting stories starting from ancient Greek till nowadays. It will be interesting for both: adults and children: stunning views, stops to discover and smell local plants, to see and touch the cotton plants, olives, see how resin from pine trees is collected, see most beautiful highlights of Kassandra peninsula and learn a lot about Halkidiki region, history and Greek mythology. The final accord is at beautiful cliff with view over Aegean sea and a glass of champagne in your hand. It one of best experiences during the holidays at Porto Sani and Vasilis with all his care, knowledge, attention to details and enormous sense of humor makes this trip unforgettable. Thank you,Vasilis!

It was the best escape we could do in all the Covid-19 craziness. We booked Sani again in December 2019 after our first stay without knowing that Greece would be one of the meditarranean countries we could still travel to this autumn. It was our second stay at Sani. From the first moment, we felt warm welcomed and safe. Everyone was tested before check-in. All staff members wore masks all the time. We enjoyed especially the bouzoulas beach. The climbing park was a lot of fun, well maintained like everything at Sani. We spent some great hours between the trees. All Sani staff we had in very good memory after our first stay. And the same this year. Everyone was always very friendly and polite. Especially, I would like to mention „our“ driver. Socrates, club car driver from Porto Sani, recognized us back this year. Like already last year, he always had a big smile for us. The kids loved him and also recognized him back after one year. He made our stay again memorable. We are already planning to come back next year.
