We had a really good holday, our room was nice, the food good. The resort does look like it is suffering from under funding and is a bit run down here and there. All the staff were really nice, Giorgios who was in charge of the activities and fitness was the best part of the holiday, we did Yoga with him every day, Pilates, stretching, he took us on nice walks through the forest and other beaches, organised ping pong for the kids. We really enjoyed having the activities and the choice of something to do regularly organised by Giorgios

Excellent hotel! Very good facilities and very clean! I highly recommend it as I have been visiting it for over 10 years! The hotel is fantastic, especially for families as it is quiet and provides many activities for children. It has a very nice location as it is located in the green forest and together with the exquisite gardening and architecture the result is unique! Throughout the hotel the spaces and everything are neat, the space of the rooms is picturesque and beautiful, the space of the two large swimming pools is fantastic with new and safe specifications! Regarding the staff and the management of the hotel they are very kind with awesome and prompt service! The restaurant provides a wide range of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner supporting all food choices, the food is always careful, delicious and fresh! The rooms inside are fully equipped, new and very comfortable with beautiful decoration, in addition daily cleaning is provided by the hotel staff. Finally, the private beach of the hotel completes the package of the hotel as it is sandy, clean and big with shallow and clear blue waters! One of the most beautiful beaches in Halkidiki that together with the hospitality of the hotel makes the stay dreamy!

This was our 17th time to Simantro. We used to go when it was "Simantro Beach Hotel" and was All-Inclusive. However, we decided to try the new "Simantro Resort", which is Half Board (breakfast and evening meal). There was a new little cafe on site selling sandwiches, salads, etc, if we needed something to eat lunch times. The food in the restaurant is much better. There is lots of choice and it's of a high quality. Drinking water is free at all meal times. The staff are mainly new, but it was nice to see some of the familiar faces still working there. Happiness, Nicole and Angela in the restaurant were very helpful, so thank you to them :-) In the bathroom, there is nice smelling olive oil soap, shampoo and conditioner, which was regularly topped up by the cleaners (who are lovely ladies). The beach has new sturdy sunbeds, which are comfortable and included in the price. Unfortunately, many guests do not pay any attention to the "no towels on sunbeds before 9.30am" rule. One night there was a bad storm. I helped the staff put the sunbeds back, as they had been blown about the beach. The next morning, I walked to the beach and thought it was funny as probably over 100 towels were ruined, where people left them on the sunbeds the night before! One bad thing - the Government now charge 10 Euros per night for "hotel tax"! All in all, we had another great holiday at Simantro. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us :-)

If you expect to pay for 5 stars, prepare to find 2-3 star. 5 stars deserve position, beach, swimming pool and furniture. Regarding food, you will find some ways that are repeated, nothing to be 5 stars. The staff is few and irritable. Tavern and the Trulos restaurant are closed, so if you want to eat here you should be compeled to pay all inclusive. If you optese for breakfast or half board, you can not eat a la carte at all. You can eat at buffet for 18 € / adult or 9 € / child. Locations nearby, Taverne, you can only find in Sani or Kassandreia, if you want a variety. Regarding cleanliness, do not have expectations. The housekeeps are more at the boat in the halls and disturbing speaking loud, like some geese, than to clean. Disinfection do not, plus, I asked them to change my bed underwear on the third day and said that "tomorrow". Than you put them better lack, they are naughty and imitate you after you talk, plus they are looking ugly at you if you do not give them tips. Plus they are cleaning during lunch when people do their siesta or children sleep. They should arrange a shower outside the sand aria as you go to the room all you take on the soles and then fill the floor with sand. The concussion is like The only one worth is the fine sandy beach and easy sea entrance for children, in the rest nothing... There are tourist which put their towels at 7 a.m on first row sunbeds and come at 12 pm to the beach. This is lack of respect for others which come at 8-9 am. They have to work to have their customers. The conclusion is that we felt OK, just for the beach. For traditional food we had to look at 4-10km distances. We will not come back, clearly! I was in similar locations, maybe with 3 stars, on fewer money and with conditions far over.

We went for a long weekend and had a great time. The room was deluxe spacious and clean. The sand was like a flour and the water was clean and warm. There was a dinner with a decent choice of meals. Taverna and beach bar were available on the beach and all inclusive option is possible.
Do not miss Daniela to do you a massage, very professional, I strongly recommend it.
The style of the hotel is traditional. It is plced right on a beach with woods around so the air is clear and smells nice especially at night.

We traveled by car, children & our puppy for 6 days in Halkidiki, this is not the first time we choose Simantro resort for vacation.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, but requires renovation in some premises & facilities.
The beach is fantastic, but only in the afternoon you can find free sun loungers.
The room we stayed was comfortable with a balcony, unfortunately they did not clean daily & did not bring us clean towels.
Both at breakfast and at dinner there was sympathy, but the sweets were all great & the salty foods very tasty.
We ⁇ our swimming in the pool which was quiet in the morning & lunch hours where there was a lifeguard for the safety of the children who constantly supervised them & dealt with them.
At reception & the group were delayed to serve us because the parking lot is a field outside the hotel.
Prices were normally high, cocktails at the bar were worth it.
Finally, more staff is needed for immediate service & cleaning, because there are enough rooms and customers...

The manager is the hotel is very unfriendly and uneducated and he doesn’t want and want to help a guest.
Besides that he is having his breakfast in the same restaurant like a client, then he insults because he is upset with his bad management.
The reception informs that there is a no reservation policy for the sunbeds and that you have the prepay the sunbeds and at 9:00 in the morning there are no available sunbeds. The interesting thing is that the beach opens at 10:00!! Towels available after 12:00!
So if you arrive for the first day, you lose it because you didn’t know that you have to go at 07:00 and leave your suncream at a bed!
The managers “solution” was “ go and buy towels and reserve the beds!!!”
The hotel is not 5*.
It was in 2000 when it was built. Now it is 3*. The 3 stars are not only deserved because of the low maintenance of the buildings but also because of the rude behavior of the manager Mr Michos who is trying to prove to himself that he is someone important.
So sorry for the owner Mrs Grigoriadou that she has her resort mismanaged….

Ps: Clean the windows of the reception and the restaurant at least once every 10 years!

+ Perfect beach for families with children, fine sand, no stones, smooth water
- Horrible, tasteless food, the same every day. Bad drinks, sour staff(If you go to the bar I actually serve you in disgust) some services are not included in the price even if it was mentioned at the reception as they are (snack, ice cream etc.) Dark rooms with an unbearable smell. We're definitely not coming back here, and we're not recommending it!

It was our third time in Simantro, last year we were twice and now from 15 till 21 of June. We like the hotel because of the location, long beach and beautiful sea, good food and it is pet friendly. We were staying in two rooms that were connected with inside door.
I will mention the improvements from last year..new beach sunbeds and umbrellas and they are free for guests, new staff - very professional and improvement of services.
What we think that should be improved- outdated furniture and old mattresses on the beds, better staff organization when the hotel is full like to avoid problems with sunbeds and umbrellas since some guests are reserving too early, no place for the ones that come later, only one person for helping with the laguage. As for a five star hotel the details are also important like additional higienic kits in the bathroom, maybe bathrobes for the guests etc
Looking forward for our next visit to see new better changes.

We had to be upgraded to a comfort room, we were underclassified in a very small room with 2 small beds, damp room, broken window. Booked with a renowned service provider, we had to have the following services; welcome gift "None", 20% off the restaurant at lunchtime "None", etc... we did not benefit from any services provided for in our reservation contract. Avoid collective transfer, driver so rough and in a hurry that we suffered shocks during the transfer; Broken glasses for me and bruise for my friend. We had a lot of problems because the reception staff were rude, didn't say hello and made no effort to help you. We still managed to get a more comfortable room but still the one expected and provided for in our contract. Travel to be forgotten except if you rent a car because taxis are excessive; Ex: €50 round trip to do 9km, no meter and no invoice or ticket, only take cash. Arm yourself with your translator because no one speaks French and apart from 2 people who made the effort the rest should be avoided. Poorly insulated, noisy rooms. Let's not talk about cleaning, it's quickly done badly. Unheated swimming pool, nice beach but additional deckchair so if you don't pay, you get out. Drinks not included ok but even water. You have to pay to drink water; unacceptable. The positive point; varied food and fresh produce. For each request, put your credit card or cash in your hand. This hotel complex is far from worth these 5*. Too bad it put us off Greece a bit and we will choose another destination and another service provider for our next trip.
However, I put a mention for; the grocery store staff (adorable, polite, and who gave us valuable help) and for the man who welcomes us at the entrance to the hotel restaurant in the morning and evening because it is closed at lunchtime. With all the money spent during the stay, we expected better between lunches, SPA, grocery store etc.... out of the question of paying to be able to stay on the beach. And having been taken for fools by certain hostesses at reception. It didn't even make us want to take souvenir photos. Restaurant Tavern is valid, plentiful and cool staff.

Hi. At the breakfast we had a buffet and we were served by the staff. At lunch and dinner there was a la carte menu and you can order from 5 different type of food( fish, pork, vegetables, chicken), salads, deserts etc. And to answer your other questions, yes, there are cocktails and wine included.
