We were invited in a marriage in Archontika Karamarlis. The hotel was fully booked! The owners, Giorgos and Evi did everything in their power to make the wedding and our stay there, unforgettable! Lots of surprises for the newly couple and its guests, the food was super with local specialities and was followed the next morning with an incredible brunch!...

The room in which we stayed was for four people. We stayed in the oldest part of the hotel with an unacceptably narrow flight of stairs .This fact led to my son spraining his ankle.NO DOCTOR AVAILABLE IN THE VILLAGE.The breakfast was quite basic.

Thank you for your feedback which always helps us improve our services. The building you were staying in is an 18th century stone built mansion, as all buildings in Makrinitsa. These buildings are considered monuments of traditional culture and it is forbidden by law to make any architectural alterations, stairs are of course included into the restrictions. However, our rooms...

This place is lovely. Been there twice, last time in August 2011 (had to write a later date in order to review). Rooms are not so big but well furnished and cozy. View is spectacular. Having breakfast, which is good, on the porch, is a great way to start the day. Access with a car is a bit problematic, but...

Leaking bathroom basin, floor plug hole that fills the bathroom when bath sink is unplugged, beds not that comfortable. No wifi in the rooms. On the plus side, views from rooms were amazing. Breakfast was very good (serve local bush tea), and in good central location, with a short uphill walk to the central square.

Very good value! For the money spent, we got more than expected. Great breakfast with amazing view. Clean and comfortable. Renovated mansion and the village are like in a fairytale. Friendly staff as if you entered a family home. Makrinitsa is a pictures greek village, more known as a winter destination but for us it perfect for summer.

We stayed at the Karamarlis in Makrinitsa for just one day on our way to Skopelos two weeks ago but we wished we could have explored the beautiful Pelion for few more days and enjoyed the hospitality of this hotel for a little longer. The Karamarlis is located at walking distance from the centre of this lovely, small village. The...

Archontiko Karamanli in Makrinitsa Just 20 minutes from the port of Volos. Amazing view from the balcony of the restaurant. The food is delicious & very tasty. We suggest Mousaka & Greek salad. Nice people, smiling and very helpful. Very highly recommended !!!

I've stayed for 2 days in July. The rooms are clean but pricey. I was expecting off-peak prices for that time of the year as Makrinitsa is considered to be an autum/winter destination because it's closer to the ski resort than what it is to the beach. We stayed in the building which is behind/next to the outside bar and...

My wife and I went in early November and paid a little extra for the upgraded room (80 Euro/night with taxes). I thought the upgrade included a fireplace, balcony, and fancy bathtub, but when I got there the room only had the fireplace. I sort of regret the upgrade because they only provided a few giant logs and a tiny...

In the beautiful village of Makrinitsa, on the hilltop overlooking the bay of Volos, this is a winning spot in an amazing location. Room are individually decorated and have great atmosphere. The hotel is few steps claim from the village center. It is pity that such an upscale place offers an average breakfast and charges extra for a cappuchino during...
