Stayed at Fiona's wonderful house on a recent combined biking/whisky pilgrimage with my neighbour and biking friend. Fiona made us very welcome and couldn't do more to make our stay a special one. Both bedrooms looked over the bay, and the bathroom in mine was nothing less than spectacular, as was the breakfast, which was a) tasty, b) varied across... More

Given that there are no five star hotels in Islay, I was a little apprehensive of the quality of rooms that one would have to live with. Loch Grom was top notch 5 star both in terms of room type and service. Fiona, the landlady is very welcoming.. Her breakfast finger licking and the scones were best i have ever... More

This beautiful home right on the water and a few minutes walk from Bruichladdich Distillery is simply a gem. My room (the yellow room) had a view of the loch, and was sumptuously furnished, with a marble bathroom and tea tray and everything you would possibly want. Hostess Fiona Doyle is a gifted chef (and the island florist as well... More

As you drive to Bruichladdich from Bridgend, the road twists and turns with the water on your left. After you pass the turn for Kilchoman and drive past a bend, along come the Loch Gorm House. Our home away from home during 9 days stay for Feis Ile! At the ground floor, there is a living room, very tastefully decorated.... More

This luxurious B&B is more like one of those exquisite hotels in the very best discrete chains. Stylish decor, rooms with the best appointments, fabulous sea aspect and a breakfast that will set you up for the entire day. Perfect location to strike out for the island's malthouses or some of the excellent restaurants nearby. Fiona is a fabulous hostess... More

This handsome house enjoys a superb position overlooking the loch. The landlady clearly has a passion for interior decor and especially soft furnishings. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed, sumptuous and luxurious. Breakfast is served in the beautiful blue kitchen and is very good indeed. We enjoyed our stay and would return to this lovely place again.

Beautiful views across the bay towards Bowmore. Lovely house with very comfortable sitting room. Luxury bathrooms and tasteful bedrooms. Lovely selection of compotes for breakfast as well as porridge, black pudding, haggis and freshly cooked breakfast. We wish Fiona all the best for her future.

Had a wonderful stay with Fiona on the last eve of the jazz festival. This is not your ordinary B and B. Loch Gorm House would put many 5 star hotels to shame. We had the room with dual aspect, it was decorated with style and luxury. Super thick curtains, large mirrors, fresh bedside flowers ( both sides) great bed linen , 3 pillows each one each of firm, medium and soft. The bathroom... More

We stayed two nights at this great location. Our room had a panoramic view of Loch Indaal and Bowmore on the far shore. Fiona was a wonderful host. She was away at a wedding in Ireland when we arrived, but she had contacted us well in advance, made dinner reservations, and arranged for a friend to greet us when we... More
