What an amazing stay! Frim the minute Elio greeted us we knew we were in for a treat. The location was beautiful, and the hotel has 12 rooms, so it's very quiet and relaxed. The included breakfast is amazing, and Elio makes one mean Cappuccino! I always asked him to make me a second, they were that good! He also worked to help setup transportation to and from the winery and San Gimignano, both of which I highly recommend.

Beautiful location, 4 nights we stayed here included with wine pairing dinner. Breakfast was included, but I hope they will provide more protien selection for Breakfast. Cappuccino was excellent. The host was very nice and so accommodating, he suggested us couple of places to visit duri g our stay which turned out to be perfect, not much tourists in the area that we visited.

Just back from staying T the Torciano Hotel Vecchio & all we can say is when are we going back!! This hotel is everything you think of when you think of a boutique hotel in Tuscany, Italy! The manager Helio, is so sweet- Always smiling & makes the VERY best cappuccino! Which reminds me that all the breakfasts are Scrumptious & beautiful (you should see what they do with the daily fruit plate!) Rooms are beautiful, relaxing & spacious. Great water pressure & LOTS of hot water. My only slightly recommendation is for a less hard bed! Everything was super clean & a bargain! Received a parting gift of Chianti 🍷 Can’t wait to go back & next time we’re renting electric bikes to pedal around! Torciano winery isn’t a very short walk down the hill & nearby restaurants are Amazing! Although we LOVED Torciano winery & their delicious wine pairings lunch- don’t miss it!!

Many months ago I booked our stay at the Hotel Torciano for three nights in the northern portion of our trip to Tuscany. It seemed perfect. We’re not interested in city stays, so we planned on saying outside the cities. The reviews were strong, with only one negative experience noted due to some water problem. As we were getting in our car for San Gimignano I received a call from the hotel where I was informed that they had a water problem and had to move us (two couples) to another hotel. Of course they needed my permission to charge the remainder of our bill, so as to pay the other hotel. I’m not sure how that need for early payment became my problem. She sent an address and said a driver would meet us in front our hotel to take us to our wine tasting that evening. This hotel is in the center of San Gimignano, which I accept might be nice for some, but not us. We are awakened by dogs barking in other guest’s rooms. There is cigarette smoke wafting up the stairs and down the hall. We now have daily parking fees for a parking lot outside of town. As we waited for a driver, as instructed, he was quite late. It turns out he is not able to drive in the town so we had to find the right portal to meet him. Awakened by dogs I decided to look up how much this hotel would have cost. Our price for Hotel Torciano was $213 per room per night. This hotel room costs $131 per night! We asked the staff at the Torciano wine tasting and they indicated that the hotel was completely full. They were not aware of water issues. When pressed a bit we were met with blank stares. Why not offer us a choice of agriturismo hotels outside of town, if indeed there is a water problem? Why do they need full payment when our “new” hotel is significantly less than what we paid? Then the dogs, smokers and parking. If you are tempted to stay here, I recommend you think about how you will actually ensure that you do indeed stay there, and how you might control what were to happen to your trip if, say there was something like a water problem at the last minute. Yes, at this point I’m cynical. Sorry for that.
PS - I do need to add that while I have read mixed reviews on the Torciano wine tasting, ours was quite nice. We enjoyed the wines and were hosted by a wonderful, knowledgeable and fun hostess. Our time with her is worth a star, even if it is only associated with the hotel.

This is a tough one…nice place. Rome was fine all clean and staff really nice. I have been traveling through Italy for 3 months using airborne and booking.com and this hotel is not being honest. Websit says 3 kilometers from San Gimignano. It’s at least 5 if not 6. There is absolutely nothing near this hotel. The website seems to ply that the winery is attached at it all part of the stay experience which is what I was looking for. Alert you will need to walk 15 minutes to the winery and if it at night have fun walking back in the dark. There is nothing solicit on the website to describe this place. I thin that there are a lot of tourists who accept this as normal. The winery experience is a very touristy experience that is NOT TYPICAL OF ALL OF TUSCANY. Again…hotel is clean friendly and nice. But it’s not a winery experience and you need a car!

Absolutely amazing experience! The hotel stay was superb - the rooms were rustic, really clean with fantastic views and hospitality 1st class. A real home from home warm feeling. Helio, our hotel host was so welcoming. The smells of the hotel were sweet and breakfast included home made cakes and focaccia. Italian mama style! We also received a bottle of wine when we left which was such a thoughtful touch and much appreciated by us ;).
Value for money like no other - we thought they made a mistake, but no... it really was an amazing package for a whole lot of true Italian moments.
Wine tasting (including olive oil tasting) was included in our package. Alberto was our sommelier, a family member of the vineyard and was top class. We were given a tour followed by wine and olive oil tasting. He was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly.
Would recommend this place to EVERYONE!

This was our 3rd stay at Torciano Hotel and the first since renovations began! We are loving all the changes and cannot wait to come back to see them completed! The hotel is near the winery and Elio and the staff are fabulous! Breakfast every morning and cappuccinos🥰 included! Stocked wine fridge in case you want to sit outside and enjoy the sunset on the terrace 🍾

We visited Torciano Hotel in October 2024. Although a little tricky to get there if you do not speak any Italian, we pushed through the challenges and arrived early evening. The room we had was very nice, and the view from the back of the hotel was amazing. Beautiful rolling hills with fields full of grape vines. We also had an awesome dinner at their winery, Tenuta Torciano. The service in both the winery and hotel was fantastic. They even have bottle of their wine that you can purchase through their honor bar. We would love to go back and spend more time enjoying the winery, the hotel, the views, and exploring the small town.

Very nice B&B in the heart of wine country. The property is very well maintained and clean . There is an awesome view from the back terrace. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Will stay here again next time we are in the area ! You won’t be disappointed staying here for sure and it is also very reasonably priced.

Splendid location. Recently renovated hotel, in a quiet position, overlooking the valley. Efficiency and courtesy at check-in. Room and bathroom furnished in classic rustic style, very welcoming and warm. Impeccable cleanliness in the room and bathroom. Rich and tasty breakfast. Margherita and Alina's breakfast and check-out service was accurate. Highly recommended.

Hi, we stayed in this placed last summer 2023 around July. We booked it through Tenuta Torciano Winery. This place is owned by the winery. You may contact the winery. I hope this will help.
I can't answer questions about air conditioner, nets, kitchen supplies, I'm sure that Elio can help with all of that.
What I can tell you is that Siena and Florence are easily within an hour, but Elio (the host) suggested scenic routes that were fabulous so we took longer drives, and enjoyed some less touristy stops along the way.
The views from the back of the property are of beautiful tuscan hillsides, but the front of the building is right up against a road, so the front of the building (where we were) didn't have a view, and there was street noise. We didn't mind at all, slept like logs after days of hiking around the hill towns. The charm of this property is the host, the breakfast and the real life feel of it.
There are more places to choose from in the Ulignano area.
