Very convenient location to the many historical sites in the Normandy area. The staff was VERY helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Our room had a small loft and a little kitchenette, perfect for refrigerating or heating up the kids' snacks.

The Gold Beach Hotel was chosen due to its proximity to Caen port for Briitany ferries (30 mins) and to Bayeux (20 min). It is also open until 11:00 pm, essential for the afternoon ferry which arrives at 9:30 pm; most other hotels in the area seem to close at 9 pm!!! Are they missing a trick here? And in... More

I stayed here because it was a good location as a base to cover all the areas within the D Day invasion area. The cost per night was $45. You can opt for the full buffett breakfast for an extra 12 Euros. It was and okay but a little too much if you are running out early to get to... More

I stayed at Gold Beach hotel on the nights of 4th October until 8th October. About and hour and a half drive from Cherbourg Ferry Port, this hotel is situated just off Gold Beach (hence the name), and is a perfect starting point to visit World War 2 locales across Normandy. Pointe Du hoc, Omaha Beach, American Cemetery and British... More

Nice motel style lodgings just a minute walk from Gold Beach. Friendly welcome when we checked in, helpful guy on reception suggested potential restaurants to try and the place felt clean. Room was big, comfortable and decent shower too. Would go back.

We stayed at this hotel 1 night with our two young children while visiting Omaha beach and the American cemetery on our way home from our trip to Brittany. We felt like we had a good experience here given the price paid. The room was a really good size (we didn't need to use the upstairs at all) we were... More

Nice and correct personal. The rooms ok, but the bathroom need some renovation and the corridors needs really a lot of Renovation! To much cobweb in the high ceiling.... In the room you'd fridge and hot plates. The breakfast was good with a lots of home made cakes but not so much different bread, specially the dark bread. Salad fresh... More

+ price + location (100m from the beach) + free parking lot + kitchenette - wifi coverage is bad (room 46 unable to connect, tried with iphone, imac and dell) - family rooms are one big room with a mezzanine.
