Lovely room in country pub, very relaxed place with great staff and good food. The owner makes his own sausages served for breakfast which are excellent. We had a great time. Arrived for Friday afternoon and had a chilled glass of prosecco in the large, sunny garden. Food is served most of the day. We ate here in the evening,... More

The Hunters Rest is a bit of an oasis in a world of change. We have been coming here for years, we've tried others but we tend to sit through them wishing we were back in our familiar friendly and consistent Hunters Rest. The food is tasty, there is an extensive menu, plenty of choice for all the family. Great... More

This weekend was genuinely one of the best. It makes it so much easier when you are staying in one of the nicest places I have personally stayed before. We were both wanting a little quiet stay in the sticks which I believe we got. We were in between bath and Bristol which was perfect. The staff were incredibly nice... More

Stayed here for one night (Monday), prompt check in by the owner and given an upgrade to a room which had a four poster bed overlooking the front, small sitting room/TV lounge (room 4) above the bar which led down to front access. No need to walk through the bar with the dog but no problems with the staff or... More

Stayed over with our dog for 1 night en route to Cornwall. Very helpful and good service from the lads behind the bar. The supper was good with generous helpings and an excellent choice of cheese. The room, especially the bathroom, was rather tired and probably due for updating at some point. I have long hair and didn't attempt to... More

Dear Debbie Very sorry for the confusion; it is the pub that has disabled facilities, we have ramps and a large disabled toilet. Our rooms are all in the very old part of the building on the first floor and as such are not suitable for wheelchair users. I will have the description on the website changed, again my apologies. Friendly staff, super comfortable room with beautiful views. Food here is great. Breakfast was amazing. Would recommend if visiting Bath or Bristol if you would like a quiet night and somewhere to drink. There are some nice country side walks around and the Hunters Rest is happy to lend you an O/S map.

I had to come down to the area and needed a place close to the airport for one night at it was a latish arrival. As it turned out the flight was further delayed so I only arrived around midnight. Really helpful staff ensured I knew where the key was so no problems. Quite a rural location and misty in... More

Stayed for three nights, and was fabulous! Breakfast was lovely, well cooked and the evening meals were delicious. Our room was great, fantastic views even from the bath. This was our second visit and if in the area again would stay here.
