We wher staying near by and the eels foot was recommended to us. We wher not disappointed. Got there late evening and it was busy so thought we would be out of luck. The staff said we could have a drink while we wait for a table. Within 10 minutes they got us a table. The staff and locals are... More

Had dinner at the Eels Foot last week. Was pouring with rain so the kids didn't get to enjoy the playground. But the food was good. We had calamari which, despite being frozen (the staff were very honest!) was delicious. I then had a fantastic mushroom pizza. We also had a margarita pizza and a veggie curry - all good.... More

This inn had been recommended to us and is not the easiest place to find but the surprise, when you arrive there, is that the large car park is full, there is a pizza oven blazing away, loads of people playing petang, the bar and restaurant are very busy but dealt with charm and friendliness. A cosy interior of several... More

Despite being a fairly isolated pub in East Suffolk it is really worth trying the Eels Foot as its a pub with true charachter, great locally sourced food and a fine choice of real ales many from the nearby brewery at Southwold. Add to this the superb garden and childrens play area, outdoor wood fired pizza ovens, and friendly staff... More

Called into the Eels foot for lunch on route to Southwold. I wish we had carried on and not bothered. Staff not very friendly or attentive. Food was bland and barely warm. Served on cold plates and grossly over priced. Can not find anything good to say.

Walked one of the Adnam's pub walks, starting & finishing at the Eel's Foot. Perfect location for seeing Minsmere and surrounds. Great ales - which taste even better after a long walk on a hot day. Lovely pint. Massive beer garden - which even has an outdoor bar and pizza oven. Food was fine - nowt special but fine. Pizza... More

Finally called in for lunch, having passed a few times, when the staff greeted me in a very friendly fashion. Not disappointed. Lovely big garden, plenty of water bowls for the dogs. Possibly the best chips ever, and definitely the best battered squid I've ever tasted - not out of a packet!
