Afternoon tea at the Endsleigh is always a joyous celebration. Freshly made cakes and scones. All you can eat. Wide selection of leaf teas. Service is sublime in a stunning setting. Choice of sitting outside or in a range of period rooms. Jacobean styled even though the building is only just over 200 years old. Sheer joy

We had lunch with my parents on a gloriously hot afternoon, we asked for the terrace, but when we arrived it was too hot for my elderly mother so the staff very kindly asked if we'd like to eat inside, which we did. My parents, who live locally had eaten here regularly, but we had not. What a wonderful place... More

Great first impression driving through extensive and spectacular gardens. On arrival car park was full because of non-residents taking tea and a number of suppliers vehicles, but generally there should be plenty of space to cater for the 18 rooms. Reception small and cramped but staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. Room 8 was a beautiful room overlooking the gardens.... More

This is in the heart of the countryside with stunning views across the River Tamar. Roads into it are narrow and their driveway is quite long with a number of side roads to other parts of the estate off it. Keep to the main drive all the way until you come to the car park. The main entrance is on... More

The hotel's location, gardens and bedrooms are just that. We came in late autumn and we saw a different view. This time in early summer it was just as good. Our room was excellent and we thought the service this time was better. What more can you ask. Returning soon.

This was our 6th visit to this hotel and it was as great as all the others. We stayed in the new sable yard suite which has a living room with wood burning stove, small kitchen area and a bathroom and bedroom upstairs. The decor and furnishings were very typically Endsleigh's eclectic style. The breakfasts here are always generous and... More

Went to this hotel for lunch, friends have been there before and loved it. Have to say it was indeed an experience. The grounds are just magnificent, the gardens beautiful and they welcome owners with dogs too. Although we were not hotel guests we were welcomed for lunch without having made a booking We sat outside on the terrace for... More

Came here for afternoon tea last week with my bestie and her baby and it was divine! The food served was so good- especially sandwiches served for vegetarians! There were so many cake choices and scones were delish! Eating outside was lovely as the scenery and grounds are beautiful! Defo going to go back and do it all again! :)
