We recently visited England for the first time and wanted to stay in a typical country pub. We looked around and found the Who'd Have Thought It Inn. Rates were reasonable, had rooms with ensuite on site, plenty of parking at the rear of the property and only about 5kms from Plymouth in the village of Milton Combe. We stayed... More

Booked a table last night for my 60th birthday with 5 members of my family. Service was good but the food was disappointing. My sister had the catch of the day although she said the fish was o.k it came with broccoli which had more yellow then green. My niece had sausage and mash the sausages were burnt all black. Whitebait... More

Just home from a fab overnight at this tucked away little country pub. They only have 2 rooms but they are rooms to write home about! I've stayed in boutique London hotels that don't even come close to the standard here. Gorgeous white cotton sheets, huge comfortable bed, we'll thought out toiletries and a wonderful team of people. For an... More

Lovely pub, very old and quaint. Just had a burger, absolutely fine, bit pricey for what you got. Sunday lunch coming out of the kitchen looked less appetising. Clean and homely, though seemed a bit run down. Great home made cider. Would definitely go again.

Was visiting the area and called for Sunday lunch on a recommendation. Charming exterior with a small beer garden at the rear next to the car park. Simple modest bar could do with brightening up but it had its own charm. Big solid tables on big solid stone floors don't expect too much comfort. We ordered three courses and the... More

Four of us had a meal here for a birthday celebration. The staff were very friendly but the food was disappointing, not as good as our last visit. One steak had to be sent back and my fish was burnt. The restaurant was a bit cold and smelt damp.

It was within walking distance of where we were staying so we gave it a go. It is at the bottom of a steep hill so climb back was difficult . The barmaid/waitress was very welcoming and pleasant. We had steak pie and the fish. Both were OK. Chips were really good. It was expensive for what it was. We... More

We were staying just outside of Plymouth and this pub was suggested to us for a simple but good dinner. It is a little off the beaten track but well worth the journey and it nestles in a beautifully quiet country setting. It was a delight to be in simple, no nonsense, no muzak but in comfortable traditional pub furnishings... More

On the recommendation from someone at work I have visited the "who'dy" on two separate occasions now- once with my family for dinner and once with some friends for a drink. On both occasions I have been very impressed, especially by the quality of the food and attentiveness of the staff- they always seem very happy to cater for your... More
