We visited the V6 Ranch for a Dude Ranch Weekend. This ranch holds different theme weekend events so you can choose one that interests you. We wanted the horseback riding experience of rounding up the cattle and this weekend really hit the target!! The ranch is so large, it seems like you never get to the borders and the terrain...

My wife and I have talked about staying at the Parkfield Inn for several years and we finally did it. We both loved the Post Office Suite and the people. We were lucky enough to be there when an Arabian Horse thing was going on just down the road and "joined" them as we ate dinner and listened to their...

Are you ready for a working ranch of 20,000 square acres? This is the real deal. Beautiful, fascinating, owned by the Varian family, who built it up from scratch over the last 40 years. It's the perfect getaway if you like to ride horses. (It's just up the road from where James Dean died, and between Paso Robles and the...

The V6 Ranch was a two-night stop along our two week honeymoon traveling California. We loved our stay and it is not a question of will we return but when. The V6 Ranch is off the beaten track but this is the first of its many surprisingly beautiful details. The drive alone to the ranch is worth taking, with breath...

I spent a delightful week at the V6 Ranch / Parkfield Inn this summer, attending a horsemanship clinic run by Richard Winters. I can't say enough good things about the V6 Ranch / Parkfield Inn: the setting is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and clean and the staff -- comprised largely of the family that has owned this ranch for...

We participated in the April 2014 cattle drive and it was the most fun I have ever had on a getaway trip. The Varian's are the nicest, most hospitible family in the country. The ranch is amazing(spacious, beautiful, authentic). And the other guests, frequenters of the experience, treated everyone like best friends. Don't be mistaken. This is no pleasure cruise....

This ranch is a must stop for budding cow boy/ girls traveling California. Arriving at the cafe you are instantly welcomed as one of the family and treated to huge portions of ranch grown tucker. Riding out on the ranch with a local guide and perfectly behaved horses is nothing but breath taking as you climb the ridges to explorer...

If you enjoy horses or just enjoy the outdoors I would highly recommend the V6 Ranch in Parkfield, CA. I spent 4 nights at the Parkfield Inn for a Muench Photo Workshop and our room was very nice. It had 2 queen beds - 1 downstairs and 1 upstairs in a loft. There was a large flat screen TV. Be...
