Lovely area, the food is very good and well presented. Our room was large and clean, with a balcony. However, the hotel, and rooms, need renovation. There was peeling paint, and there had been some water damage that was repaired — sort of. Also, the bathroom looks 20+ years old. Everything works, but everything is tired, and some of the mechanicals clearly need to be replaced. Staff is helpful. Good WiFI. Needs to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
We were very satisfied, we were there with two small children and there was very nice playground. Room was very clean and big. Food was delicious and staff was very friendly and polite. I honestly recommend it!
I loved the place. Nature, food, and service is exceptional. You are transported in ideal setting and pampered with excellent wine, food, and sights. I highly recommend Popova Kula to all exploring the area. The place is worth visiting.
It was such a nice place and a very lovely time I spent there. The hotel has a very friendly staff and it is very relaxing, I was not expecting to feel so comfortable and happy with my stay. It is a little bit rustic but at the same time modern, which is the greatest part of it because it is like a trip to the past but enjoying the goods and services of the 21st century. Wine was excellent and food really delicious in a restaurant with a wonderful view. Nature is awesome and harmonious and you can enjoy of a place with no air pollution and hideaway from the noises of the big cities. I really recommend this winery if you wanna relax, specially in these hard times if Coronavirus.
Great service and friendly staff, always ready to meet all the customer's need. A beautiful, calm and relaxing place, even joyful for the little ones. And most important of all things their wine and their brandy tastes incredibly great. I totally recommend it!
We stayed at Hotel & Winery Popova Kul for one night at the end of a bike trip through Macedonia and Albania. It's a very nice inn and winery. The rooms are nice but not great - more importantly, half of them face away from the winery to a gravel pit. For those on the winery side, each has a balcony for a nice view.
At the recommendation of the Mayor of your municipality Demir Kapija, Lazar Petrov on Thursday 12.03 we spent the night in your facility. I bring you the following remarks: 1. On admission to the hotel, we are placed in rooms 207 and 208 which are cold and cannot be heated by air conditioning because one of them is broken and switches on every 20 minutes and works for 10 minutes and then switches off again. 2. There is no hot water in the rooms, the water temperature is only so much that the water is not as cold as ice. There was no hot water in the evening or in the morning. On departure, a receptionist asked why there was no hot water, saying that we needed to let the water flow longer to get the hot water going. Maybe we should have let go for 30 min? 3. Food is a complete disaster. We ordered the pork curry on the grill and we got the hard and tasteless pork medallions baked on the pan and not on the grill. Chicken in a 4-cheese sauce is not in a 4-cheese sauce but in an unfamiliar pepper-filled sauce. The salads are completely unspoiled with bad cheese, while the safe salad looks like a salad made by the receptionist, not the kitchen chef. The waiter is polite but cannot serve wine or recommend food or wine. The wine of Tamjanika Aristocrat is excellent. But completely wrongly served without the guest having the opportunity to try after opening the bottle. The rating for the restaurant is 0. After this experience with the restaurant, we didn't even have breakfast in the morning. 4. The access to the hotel is dirty and muddy and not lit. Upon arrival and departure from your hotel, the guest must wash the car because you do not maintain the street where the hotel is located. Conclusion: It is a great shame to keep such a beautiful facility with exceptional wines this way. I think that with the price of 30 euros for sleeping in a cold room without hot water, I was completely fooled and that for a dinner of 2100 denars I was also completely fooled. If you cannot maintain the quality of service do not do this business, sell or close the hhis is never done. I will never come again, and will inform my experience of all the people who come there, as I will inform Mayor Lazar Petrov himself. You are a disgrace to wonderful Macedonia!…
We drove down from Skopje for lunch. It was a nice menu and we had some nice starters and salads and some good red wine. The service was good and the menu had a variety of beef, chicken and fish. The restaurant had a nice view of the mountains, the food was good, service good and it was quite a value for five people with a bottle of wine by European standards.
Excellent winery, unique location!Quiet and peaceful place with incredible view! Excellent service, very good kitchen! Very clean hotel and restaurant! Perfect presentation of excellent wines!A very good breakfast!
The location is excellent, the room was excellent, with nice bed, pillows, designed to have a nice sleep. We stayed in room with spa batch and it is really beautiful, and romantic. If you are for a nice romantic stay, do not miss it.
