We were here for a yoga seminar. The hotel was OK, much more expensive than the neighboring hotels. The WiFi was absolutely the worse I have ever had at any hotel. The staff were excellent. The beach is all rocks & coral , no sand. You need scuba booties or some foot protection to get into the ocean, Also the beach is filthy with litter. Plastic everywhere. I suggest you walk down the beach to the hotel next door, Tillie, is the Swiss lady who owns it & get meals there. Much better & very authentic Indonesian food. Rooms here were $100.00 other hotels neat by from $60-80.00.

Thank you, for your review. Yes, sometimes wifi is a headache in north Bali. Usage of comlimentary mobile router is a way out when wifi is slow. And yes, it is recommended to every guest to have coral shoes as there is a coral reef alongside a shoreline. Neighboring Bali Sandat owned by Tilly we also like and recommend to those, who are looking for cheaper accommodation - it is a truly an Indonesian experience, the only inconvenience there is the abscence of AC and swimming pool, thats why prices are lower. Thank you for visiting us and taking part in Iyengar yoga seminar.

We stayed with the entire big family with a total of 26 people and booked around 11 rooms in one building with beach front view. I like the property setting, restaurant and gym area with beach front view is amazing. I got the room #1 where there's bathtub on the terrace with beach front. The Air Con was good. Unfortunately I didn't sleep well since the wall is thin. The sounds of waves woke me up for few times. For those who don't get use to be on the beach front, I would suggest to be little bit farther from the beach. The pool is nicely located in the middle of the building however it is too small considering that there are 11 rooms on this particular building. Yet, the pool water will make sore eyes and that indicated the water PH was high. One of my relative got irritation on his eyes. We had good dinner on that night and checked out in the next morning and had breakfast with very basic menu (Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng and Omelette) plus 1 type of fruit which was watermelon. Coffee was good and tea is available. They provide mineral water in plastic glasses. Upon check out, the room attendants were chasing us and clarifying that few of bathrobe were missing from the rooms. Since all rooms in this particular building were occupied by our group so that I suggested them to search the bathrobe in other rooms and checked thoroughly before accusing us. We were very surprised to know that we must pay for the Laundry bag that taken away by one of our family member. It is very common around the globe that Laundry bag is free to take away for our dirty clothes. Yet, they ripped us off with unreasonable price at IDR 50,000 for a laundry bag. We decided to return it to them. We brought some cars and mini bus and there's nobody directed us to the parking area so that we managed ourselves. No Security available to lead the traffic. The basic principle for running a hotel is not done properly. All the staff need to be trained on how to be more professional. At least wear shoes during working instead of wearing flip-flop. I hope the owner would invest more on the training and development for the staff as I see this Resort has got a lot of potential. Good Luck!

Thank you for your response. Guests satisfaction and quality of service is our priority. Will pay attention to some of your recommendations. Just some thoughts to share here... - Indeed, near the pool we prefer to serve beer, water and beverages in plastic glasses to prevent cases when glass bottles, glasses can be broken and make harm. - Indeed, some guests take with them bathrobes claiming that they didn't not how it disappeared (and really staff is afraid of such cases as they could be penalized for it). - Regarding Laundry bags its a decision of guest to take it and pay for it or not take it. - We do have 24-hour security on site but they are not traffic police to regulate traffic as there is no traffic on our road. - About breakfast - breakfast orders are unlimited, guests may eat as much as they can/want, we do not impose a limit on orders and breakfast menu has a big variety of dishes for all tastes. - We will think about staff flip-flops - probably will buy for them crock's ;-) - it's too hot to wear shoes.

I've been in Bali for 2 months and have yet to come across anywhere than comes close to this property.  On the beach front, incredibly cheap, modern with incredible staff. If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I would.  The menu is excellent and the resort is certainly not geared only for Russians, how do I know? Well I'm Irish that is why 🙄 Will certainly be back and thank you for an incredible stay.

I wouldn’t recommend this resort for Westerners. It’s very geared to the Russian clientele and not a friendly place for others. The good: Gorgeous accom, views to die for, great pool, friendly and very accommodating staff, nice reef The not so good: Menu quite boring, need more variety. Soft drinks limited. Very isolated. Very geared towards Russian guests who seemed to get priority and were unfriendly and rude to be around. Wouldn’t stay again unless was with large group who could take over the facility.

My friends and I stayed here while staying in Bali. This was one of our favorite places during our entire stay in Indonesia. The staff was SO accommodating and helpful. We felt like we were constantly being taken care of. The food was also incredible. We were able to have fresh caught fish from the morning for dinner in the evenings. Very relaxing atmosphere with so many amenities (yoga mats, work out area, trx straps, weights, massage tables, paddle boards, and kayaks, scuba gear to rent out). Perfect spot for yoga on the black sand beach during the quiet mornings listening to the sound of the waves. The room itself was gorgeous and was very clean. We were a group of 4 and had plenty of space for everyone! We stepped right outside of the room to the ocean front. During our stay we also ran into a local guy named Potok who was so generous and offered to play his guitar for us while having a beach bonfire that evening. Him and his friends were amazing singers and surprisingly new so many classic songs that we all knew! Really made the experience. Definitely recommend this place for anyone in the area.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Beautiful pool, awesome environment for family or friends. Breakfast is included and is super tasty. The staff are super kind, some of them aren’t fluent in English but they try really hard to understand and be helpful. I had a massage for IDR 150,000 which is around $10 and it was awesome, the spa has ocean view or you can have your massage outdoors. We ordered for dinner one of the specialities and was a grilled mahi mahi, we were 5 and it was more than enough for all of us plus it was delicious. The Nasi goreng is pretty tasty. I highly recommend this hotel.

Just give you the facts, you decide if it's right for you: - No mosquito nets. Ceilings are about 3m high making it difficult to kill one if in room. - Limited hot water. Personal water heating unit above shower. If sharing the room with a family member or loved one and they have a hot shower for say 15 minutes, you may need to wait some time until the next batch of hot water is ready. - Two mornings in a row there was NO water at all, be it tap basin, toilet or shower. Limited water did return some time after probably 8:30am with normal water access returning some time after that. Why? I have no no idea. Probably a local council issue. - Water pressure in general is not great. - Occasional weird pipe noises not related to our personal water usage. - Bed was average with a medium firmness, pillows okay but not great. - TV is okay, maybe 32" but far enough away that watching TV in bed not a great experience. - Website stated there would be a private bath on balcony, there was not. - That's another point... crap website, really not informative or helpful. For a resort open 5 years or more, very poor. - Most staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Overall English ability is very limited however, with just two maybe three reasonably fluent. However... they all don't have your best interest at heart. I digress... - When requiring the staff assistance to call a taxi for return journey to Ubud (market rate 450K-500K) as our arranged driver cancelled, the Bondalem Beach Club staff member quoted us 700K. We eventually managed to arrange privately a taxi for fair value and upon telling the Bondalem Staff member we did not require their taxi, the expression of the staff member was akin to being emotionally devastated. Not happy for us, but sad for himself for I suspect he would not be able to skim maybe 150K-200K into his own pocket and likely divide among the other staff. - The resort grounds are beautiful, with lovely well kept gardens, very nice pool with toys for kids or grownups. They have snorkeling equipment AND reef shoes too which I highly recommend as beach and sea is very rocky with some dead coral so important to protect feet. - Meals are simple but well done, reasonably priced. This includes the beverages including cocktails also. - There are board games, books and DVD's for your entertainment. Internet WiFi is reasonable as well. - A beautiful part of the world, though quite isolated. Getting around or seeing the local area can be challenging due to limited taxi availability, and in general most likely nothing you had not already seen on your drive to Tejakula. - Any more than $US90/night and I don't feel you will find value here. Would not stay again. If your objective is Mt.Batur, just do a day trip from Ubud.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at BBC. Food was authentic and tasty. Good value for money. Staff were lovely!! We both enjoyed a massage afterwards near the beach by two skilled ladies. Mine was in a beach hut and my hubbys massge was out in the open. Absolute bliss :)
