Maggie and her staff are really nice and friendly. It feels a little bit like staying with a family over there. The place is calm and beautiful with all these plants and flowers. They also were really open for me and my mother as vegans, to get delicious choices of plant based meals! Its not cheap over there, but the prices are worh it. Thank you also for the nicest 33rd birthday I could imagine. Maggie and herr staff got me a sweet vegan cake and decorated the dinner table with georgeous flowers. I was so greatful, to share these moments with all the lovely persons who stayed at that time with us at Bali Mandala! Wishing them all the best!

This hotel was in a great location. The staff were super helpful. The pool is amazing and great for kids and adults. The cocktails are delicious at the pool bar, I was in bed early after a big day drinking to much. The property is traditional and the gardens are beautiful. The food wasn’t very good but there is so much close by that we just ate out most days. I’d definitely stay again

This resort is amazing, do yourself a favor and book it! The room was actually a bungalow that I had all to myself. It was so roomy, cozy, and clean. The bathroom is outside, so you shower under palm trees which is a fantastic experience. Beds are also very comfortable. The staff is so helpful and friendly, and above all: trustworthy. The resort is directly on the beach, so you just walk down a couple stairs and you're at the Bali Sea. The food is buffet style, and there's something for everyone. You can contact them beforehand if you have any allergies or food restrictions, and they will accommodate that. It's very quiet, safe, and relaxing. You can book things like dolphin tours, stand up paddling, or other excursions. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. Everything was perfect, and I will definitely be staying there again!

If you appreciate simple beauty and want to immerse yourself in more of the real Bali, come here. If you are looking for 5 star resort splendour, look elsewhere. Resort is a good 4.5 - 6 hours away from the main hustle of Kuta/Legian so make sure you factor this in with your planning. The bungalows are small but comfy enough. There is no air conditioning, only a fan with limited power but I had a great breeze while I was there and didn't have a problem with mosquitos. My room (#12) was pretty small and the walls to the adjoining room pretty thin so I could hear everything that was said next door. The food was very good, lots of Balinese dishes and loads of veggies which made me very happy. There is plenty to eat too, even for those with a big appetite. For breakfast there are tropical fruits, cereals, eggs, and rice/banana pancakes. Lunch and dinner was usually asian with chicken and fish each night. They provide a hot ginger water and lemongrass water that is available throughout the day and evening which I just loved and there is also limited beer/wine/soft drinks The dining room is a no wifi zone to encourage conversation and there is none available in the room so also take that into consideration I had a massage every day and found the Balinese to be there best. This place was very peaceful and serene, especially at sunrise and sunset. At night however there were dogs barking that kept me awake a few times while I was there...

This place is so pure and has a bit of a jungle-feeling - it’s a perfect place for healing and finding inner peace. I could deeply relax on my stay - met great people... it was more of a family-feeling than of a resort-feeling - I was surrounded by a caring, lovely staff - and I enjoyed great food! I‘ll come back for sure!

Amazing views.... Amazing beautiful helpful Balinese staff.... and a special mention to Maggie - very caring... Two owners, one lovely the other not really suited to healthy experience. However our whole experience was dampened due to one of the ‘self described’ bullish owners smoking Marlboro Reds at every meal where everyone is encouraged to sit together, and to make it worse he lights one after another..... all day. We were there to encourage our daughter to look after her health better... not a chance of this happening... At times we felt like we were in the way. On site spa was ok... staff are polite but definitely not Ayurveda, all lovely Balinese style treatments. Food was ok - more variety needed and better quality or cooking facilities would possibly help the staff. Warm coconut water.... warm veg juice. Accommodation - our room was clean but tired... mostly quiet and peaceful. Grounds are lovely and lots of shade... Property location is very remote... this provides pros and cons. Captive audience. Super positive note - we did meet some lovely other visitors.

Dear guests, sorry that you had some inconveniences with your stay at our resort - especially concerning the smoking issue during the meals you expressed during your stay already. So, meanwhile we created a designated "smokers area" that is seperated from the non-smokers tables. Thank you for your feedback - it is very helpful for us to improve our service. Kind regards,

Every piece of this property is lovingly attended to and cared for by staff and owners. There are artistic touches everywhere! The gardens thrive under their care. The ocean front is clean and water perfect for swimming with snorkeling right from the stairs. Peaceful, restful and nourishing for the soul. Amazing value. The food was true balinese and DELICIOUS. Staff were always welcoming, friendly and helpful. I stayed here for a week, both as a traveller relaxing and as a co-leader of a Destination11 leadership and personal transformation retreat. Our group needs were and expectations were exceeded by Gisele, the owner. The meditation hall was perfect for our needs, as was group meals and space for our participants to relax between teachings. It is definitely real Bali. There are bugs. Geckos will be in your rooms to eat those bugs. There is no air con, but fans, cool breezes from the ocean, the pool, and cooling off in the waves was enough for me. I cannot say enough good things about this resort, staff and owners. We are already planning on holding another retreat at this location and if you want to feel what Bali is all about, I highly recommend this place!

Beautiful location, divine food but you cannot spend so much money and not have the AC in the rooms. I couldn't sleep due to the humidity and the mosquitoes :( Another problem is the hot shower; I always had to wait 15mins before the hot water was available...and this was pretty annoying. Nice resort but not for the price and facilities

This is a good place to organize retreats if you are looking for out of town, quiet, serene environment, ocean front, good large open air hall, and good buffet home styled food. But the accommodation is very basic and old and not that clean. It’s not a place I would organize my own retreat or come on my own as traveling here from Kuta in a group bus took over 4 hours plus, from 10 am to after 4 pm with a brief stop for lunch. There’s no air conditioner (many insects and mossies despite the mossies net) and the hot shower is a trickle, the spa is good but very expensive.

Dear guest, thank you for your review. May we answer to the points you mentioned: We are sorry for the bus transfer. The bus company promised us to send 2 small buses instead of one big bus, to make your transfer more comfortable. Unfortunately they did not hold the agreement. This was a reason for us to change the bus contracting party. Concerning the room: We do not provide any air conditioned room deliberately. If we would, the quietness and serenity of this place that you and all our guest appreciate, would be affected in a negative way. Because air-conditions are loud. We asked our maintenance guy about the hot shower in your room. He told us that the standard water mix tab in your room was ok and he showed you how to use it. He reported us you were happy with that. If not please let us know. Compared to spa’s in Kuta or Ubud our prices are not the same, that's right. The reason is that our spa staff is well trained and specialized, whereas many day spas in Bali are run by not-trained people. If you have any more questions please do not hesitate to contact me via email contact form on our website. Best regards,

The perfect spot with a wonderful lush garden right on the ocean front. The atmosphere is one of pure relaxation, which, combined with the good selection of massage treatments, yoga and the evening meditation sessions, provide the ideal conditions for taking a break from the outside world with all it's stress. The individually styled bungalows with their semi open bathrooms are homely and welcoming. The buffet style meals are delicious, cooked with love by a delightful team. In a nutshell; this is the place to be to wind down and find your feet.
