This is the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. The building is beautiful, full of history, very impressive and set in lovely grounds. The rooms inside are gorgeous - huge open fireplaces, candles and antique furniture.

Breakfast is in the large dining room lit with

We stayed here straight after our wedding and it was just perfect. Lovely and comfortable rooms, situated in beautiful countryside, friendly and helpful owners, great breakfast. A really special place.

We booked all three rooms for the night after our daughter's wedding at Whalton Village hall. We had asked for the wedding package for the newly-weds, who were amazed at the profusion of chocolates and champagne. Arrivinmg at the castle just before midnight we let ourselves in

We actually live very near to the Castle. Sometimes work demands mean that we can't go too far from home, so we escape here for a spot of pampering in a truly special environment.

Warmly greeted and treated to afternoon tea, including Kristina's very special home made cake, all

It would be so easy wax lyrical about our stay, but best to say it was fabulous. The service is first rate, all at Ogle Castle are very friendly professional and attentive. Best hotel we have ever stayed at.

Is this still an operating bed and breakast in 2018? I have a Jane Ogle who lived in Pennsylvania and married my ancestor Zachariah Fertig. In tracing Jane's family back I found someone had listed Ogles back to 1058, including several generations born in that castle and some who died there also. I would LOVE to be able to make a trip in 2019 to see this if it's still available to stay in!
Is the castle open for visitors in January/February of 2018? If so what is the cost of a room for B&B? Higkealy
Do you have a website? Who can I contact for a visit?
I am looking into traveling there next year, late March? I am guessing that London is the best and least expensive way to fly in and travel to the property? do you have any travel suggestions? I am coming from the US, tracing my heritage to the castle. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thank you, Scott
"All lovely - just different!"
"I am afraid of dogs and avoid at all costs. Avoid room near the family quarters if you can. But feel sure all the rooms are beautifully appointed."
"The wifi was not working properly when I was there - but am sure this was a one-off problem only."
"It has wifi in the dining room, the stone walls are too thick for it to work everywhere else! But try to leave those gadgets behind once in a while? Sit in the drawing room instead, and chat, or sip wine, or read books [great collection], or .....whatever..."
"Don't worry All 3 rooms are beautiful"
