Many thanks to everyone at Sanner for creating a perfect setting for our family get-together. We were 30 people aged 2 to 87 who wanted a pleasant and good but informal/unsnobbish hotel that met all the participants' various needs. The hotel is large but still very charming and has a number of different rooms/possibilities for groups of different sizes. We thus got our own areas which we set aside for various activities. The employees are very helpful and solution-oriented regardless of the topic. The food is traditional and very good with a focus on local products. The hotel is located in a lovely area by Granavollen. We had various outdoor activities, walks in beautiful terrain, a historical tour of the Granavollen/Søsterkirkene. We will be happy to return to Lars and the rest of the team at Sanner who deliver a good experience at a reasonable price!!

This is a grand old hotel. It is beautiful and the grounds are lovely. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms are pretty typical European: not generous in size, but adequate. There is not an elevator or bellhop service so be prepared to bring your own luggage to your room no matter what floor you are on. The meals are delicious. You will enjoy it here and enjoy the area.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review, and thank you so much for your nice visit. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Sanner. You are right about the elevator, but even if we do not have a dedicated porter, we are more than happy to help you with your luggage. Have a great summer! We hope to see you again :)

We were invited over to a friends family reunion and one of the relatives booked the room for us. The service was great and the atmosphere was quaint. Very professional staff. Breakfast nook was delightful and very well stocked. Also was treated to a wonderful many course meal one evening which was extremely good.
The rooms were a bit small and short on conveniences, but servicable.

Enjoyed our stay. September 2018

Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet our expectations. The room was very small for a couple with a dog. The bed was only made for ONE person and only one set of towels. When we reported this, another one was ordered, but no more sets of towels arrived. The frame was stuffy with bad air despite the window being open all night. BI has stayed in many "dog rooms" in hotels without the air being bad.
Dinner was good! The breakfast was not as good as expected. Get toppings for those of us who don't eat meat. We had to ask for refills of various foods that ran out.
It was expensive compared to similar hotels of the same standard. We received no clear apology at check-out, for missing towels. I was probably expecting a slight reduction in the price as well.
Sorry for the bad experience!

I was here for two nights, with conference in the day. The hotel is old, but they have embraced it and it makes it feel homey. The conference room gets a bit warm with poor quality of air however.
The breakfast was very good and the dinners were amazing!
The staff was friendly and there are several nice lounging areas

My favorite hotell in Oslo - area! Very friendly and serviceminded staff and very good food. The hotel is old, but is very charming. New building for weddings and conferances is just finished.

I have stayed her several times for business and also private. Excellent After Noon Tea, the best in Oslo -area?

I loved it! Fight nice staff, super cute and engaged. Good food, nice talk, nice room cozy wagon in the hallway. Good wine. Andres is my favorite, he's so gentle and happy and he's slaying. Jason is really nice, too. Thanks for a nice experience :-)

Good location one hours driving from Oslo. Our group (choir) has used the facilities once a year since late 90ties and very pleased with the attention from management. Group rooms of various sizes at well furnished, and bedrooms adequate. Food - lunches and breakfasts in particular - is excellent whereas dinner experienced as more basic. Definitely recommended and our group has already booked for next year.

I was staying here together with collegues when we had a management course that lasted one week. Food was great, especially lunch. Friendly staff and always freshly brewed coffee :) Internet was a little slow in my room.
