We came here for two nights in April 2013. First: the Madam welcoming us gave a confused and uncoordinated impression. Second: we were offered to choose of two rooms. The first smelled of mold. In the second the shower and toilet was not working, there was no blankets and no towels, and the room was damp. Third: when we came...

Booking was a challenge which should have been a sign for us. No emails or fax, only sms and phone calls which can sometimes be confusing. But the contact was polite and seemed kind so I decided to give it a chance. We stayed here because the good reviews from Trip advisor. Unfortunately we were unlucky during our stay. The...

You would never ever forget to turn your heads and be amazed by Villa Juliana for its color stands out among other houses/establishments in the town center, it was really beautifully PINK. We got their package for 3days/2nights with 2 time island hopping to be hassle free. Mr. Roger Reyes, the owner, was very accommodating and was able to offer...

Since there were 10 of us, they assigned 3 rooms that are all good for 5 heads. We had extra beds for every room. I am thankful that they considered the fact that we will all be competing for the rest rooms and gave us 3 rooms instead. There were only 2 choices of dishes but the servings were huge,...

Stayed here for one night together with a friend. There's just two of us but they have provided us a room good for 6 people. Process of booking: Text mr. Roger (or wife). Don't be surprised if there aren't any email confirmation or online payment. You can pay them the day you arrive there. you have to take note that...

This hot pink-colored inn, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Reyes is hard to miss on the street. The accommodation is located about 15 minutes by tricycle from Guijalo Port in Caramoan (FYI: the tricycle ride should be p20 per person, not p30). It is also about 15 minutes by tricycle to the area where you catch the boat to go...

If you have low expectations this is an acceptable option. At least it is one of the cheaper options in town. The rooms are pretty basic. We looked at several of them before deciding on one. Most of the rooms do not have windows or toilet seats and there is a lot of mold on the walls. Although in fairness...

Before going to Caramoan, there are a few things that you need to know beforehand. Caramoan is a typical Philippine province - it has a nice little town and many barangays. It is mostly beaches, mountains, hills, and dirt roads. Although when we went there, there were already cemented roads, but they're not yet 100% constructed. So if you want...

“These are tips of Caramoan in general: If you have no restrictions with time on your vacation, take the 3-hour RORO (Roll On, Roll Off) boat ride to/from Nato Port/Guijalo Port – it costs p150. Note that the boat waits to passengers to fill up and may not leave at a specified time. If you want a faster option, go for the 1 hour 45 minute-boat/bangka ride to/from Sabang Port/Guijalo Port – p130. You can get a glimpse of the near- perfectly-shaped Mayon Volcano from afar during all of the boat rides to/from Guijalo Port. Another tip: Make sure you ask about island hopping tours to Matukad Island the 25-feet tall Our Lady of Peace statue – if you’re willing to pay a little extra, if you don’t have a package tour deal that is (be careful of dealers who will ask for a higher price). If not, just enjoy the postcard-like surroundings during the island hopping, with limestone cliffs very similar to the ones they talk about in Palawan. It is no wonder the islands on Caramoan are set locations for the TV series Survivor (for several countries – Belgium, Bulgaria, India, Sweden, France, to name a few). Final tip: There are a few more accommodations, just a few minutes away – if you’re willing to pay a little extra $. La Casa Roa is just a few houses down the street from Villa Juliana. Prices are just slightly higher – we were even told that many of the Survivor TV series crew members stay here during filming. The place looks cozy and the rooms are spacious – though the care taker told us that the place used to be a medical center (I wonder what the annex area, which is good for a group of 6 to stay in - with two bedrooms, used to be…! No wonder the kitchen looked a little like a lab area..!)”
