In dire need of updating. The Lavender Festival was great! The ambiance and music under the mature trees were fabulous. We very much enjoyed the festival. So we thought we would love to stay here this Summer. We decided to visit the pool because it was so hot and our kids would love to stay and swim. Wow, what a... More

Every June, the Highland Springs Ranch hosts The Lavender Festival. First, you should know that the Ranch is surrounded by fields of lavender, all the time. The scent that wafts through the air is, thus, heavenly. The annual event occurs throughout the rustic grounds, which are shaded by many mature trees. Various musical and dance performances occur on a small... More

We were there for the festival, what a beautiful view walking inside the lavender field. Reminded me while I was in the lavender field in Notre-Dame de Senanque Abbey in Provence, France. Highland Springs is a better place to view the lavender blooming because France is too far away.

This is the first time my family and I have attended their Lavender Festival. And I have to say I don't know why we haven't gone sooner. It was a great experience with good food, plenty of vendors, demonstrations/discussions and of course the on site Lavender Fields! It was very well planned out with parking off site and VERY NICE... Highland Springs Resort holds a Lavender Festival for 2 weekends every June. At any time, this wonderful resort and Oaks restaurant is a lovely place, but the Lavender Festival gives everyone an opportunity to se the lavender fields in bloom, learn about the uses of lavender, including indulging in a variety of lavender and related products (body oils, lotion, shampoo,... Our daughter had her wedding at this venue. Their service was excellent. Chris, the wedding coordinator was very thoughtful, accommodating and professional. The food was great - the steak strip was tender and tasty. We had the ceremony under a 1100 years old oak tree, second oldest oat tree in the world! Everyone was very please. We would highly recommend... More

"Resort" in the name threw us off, and set up expectations that this lovingly sweet place cannot deliver. I think if it were called Compound or Camp, or if the word Rustic were somehow incorporated into it, expectations would be lower and the surprise of encountering a lovely lobby and restaurant, but badly decaying rooms would be offset. Let me... More

First, this place has a great vibe. While it looks a bit questionable from the outside, we are SO glad we did not turn out and opt for a chain hotel. I would guess it would get 2-3 diamonds from AAA because it is in somewhat disrepair; however, it is clean, comfortable, well appointed, well priced and the staff is... More

Oh what a special night!! We have eaten here on several occasions and it is always good or great. Saturday night it was extraordinary! We had driven from Monterey and had been stuck in traffic due to an accident. We were hungry and on the off chance we could find a spot in the restaurant or bistro we drove off... More

First off, let me start by clearing the air about this resort. I think the reviews are scattered, some are great and others not so great. I think the disappointments come from the expectations. This is not a luxurious, trendy spot. It is a rustic resort that carries philosophies such as farm to table, organic farming practices and honest nature.... More
