Very helpful and friendly staff. Transferred all my gear to another room while I was touring and provided a USB adapter plug that could not be found for love or money in the village shops. Very close to the centre of the village and even though it is the oldest motel in the region it is still the cutest.

Older style motel. On the upside, spotless with good kitchen for self cater if needed and fairly roomy. Also the breakfast is great and so are the friendly managers. On the down side... Beds are very small and pillows uncomfortable and need replacing. Shower is a water saving nightmare, a trickle. (this could easily be remedied!) Parking at the door.... More

We had a 3 BR S/C unit with ample parking. There was only 1 bath/toilet but we managed. As we arrived late and had to leave the next morning, we could not fully enjoy the facilities. Our host was helpful and gave us the POI's that we could manage in the time we had. Would stay there again.

A nice and handy place to stay for a family wedding at Craggy Range. Just a short walk to town, a short drive to Te Mata peak to admire the 360 degree views of the surrounding country. Also, a great base for a trip to the wonderful gannet colony at Cape Kidnappers. Very helpful and knowledgeable host for whom nothing... More

Stayed for two nights in March 2016. An older style motel, which meant plenty of room. It was very clean and serviced daily with fresh towels, tea coffee and sugar. The owners were very helpful and good not do enough to help. There was plenty of off street parking and a good size swimming pool.

Our accomodation in the family unit was spacious and functional. Large kitchen for self-catering with the town centre a 10 minute walk away and a cafe just around the corner. No air conditioning so very warm nights in the middle of summer.

Dated it is- almost a time warp! The location is great, the host fantastic and helpful and worth the stay for that alone! Aircon would be great as it gets very hot in the summer. Certainly worth consideration and I wouldn't have any problem coming back when the weather was slightly cooler.

This was the second time we stayed here and the motel is every bit as good as it was last year. The location is excellent, a few minutes walk to the lovely village and shops. The studio unit was roomy, with large comfortable bed, couch, desk, wardrobe and good size kitchen. The bathroom is on the smaller size but quite... More
