Enjoyed a stay with business colleagues here. Upstairs rooms have large King, spa pool, very roomy and good value for its excellent location to be able to walk to pubs and cafes. Good service from Glenn coupled with recommendations of where to eat.

I have stayed here on a number of occasions and found it a consistently high standard. It is well situated and offers total relaxed comfort. The motel ie is hospitable without being intrusive. We will certainly stay here again on our next visit.

Stayed here for 4 nights in an excellent room which had every facility you could wish for. The host Glen Sutherland and his staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. We will be back. The half day wine tour recommended by Glen was just enough and was good value. The bonus of staying here was the closeness to... More

We enjoyed an overnight stay at this very conveniently located motel in a 2 bedroom apartment. Wonderfully friendly manager who directed us to a fabulous bakery a very short walk away. The beds were comfortable, the motel was extremely clean although some of the living room furnishings were a little tired. The bathroom looked as if it had been remodelled... More

Handy location to local shops. Friendly at check-in. Good size room with separate small dining table, small kitchenette. Clean. Has heat pump that was good as it was warm. Great had decaff coffee. Would have liked some movie channels on TV please.

We stayed here recently for 6 days and found it extremely convenient to Havelock North Village. The units were built in the nineties and have been well-maintained. They include a spa bath which is pleasant to use. We found the beds and pillows a bit hard and, combined with the road noise and heat, sleeping was difficult. The motel provides... More

What a wee secret - great accommodation even though close to all local restaurants and shop was quiet and cozy - yes would come back again - the rooms are spacious, with air conditioning and many extras - would recommend to any staying in the bay

We stayed a night at Te Mata lodge while visiting friends. We stayed as 2 adults and 2 kids in a 1 bedroom room (Queen + 2 singles in a separate room). very close to shopping as its right on the edge of town - easy walking. Lots of food options close by.

I love all the motor inn concept in New Zealand. Te Mata Lodge was one of the nicest we visited. We had a one bedroom, which had two twins in it for our son and a living space with a kitchenette and a larger bed for us. I like that set up, as we can put him quietly to bed... More

located at the heart of Hawke's Bay wine country, this quiet motel offers luxuries we'd expect in pricier hotels. Large room, jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower with grab bars and seat, spacious cooking area with well-appointed cupboards give a luxury feel to what other motels consider bare necessities. More delicious touches? Plenty of fluffy bath towels, soaps and creams, and clean,... More
